Boomerang Fishing Tours is your ticket to the stunning waters of Casco Bay, and beyond.
Depending on trip type and target species and conditions, you might hook into Atlantic Mackerel, Pollock, Cod, Striped Bass, Flounder, Haddock, and whatever else takes the bait! On the day of your trip you're likely to jig, troll, and bottom fish using light tackle.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! We are a friendly, fun, and safety-conscious crew. Be sure to let the crew know how many children will be joining for life-jacket purposes. You're welcome to bring snacks!
You'll be dropping lines from a 38' Young Brothers downeast with room for 16 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Even a stereo system, ask the crew what songs the fish enjoy!
Capt. Owen will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Capt. Owen Johnson is your guide to an unforgettable fishing adventure in the waters of South Portland, Maine. The crew has you covered if you wish to try bottom fishing, spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, or other techniques. The only way to learn is to join them on the water. Owen is a USCG licensed captain and a registered Maine tidewater guide. He started lobstering at 10 years old in Boothbay, Maine. he fished and worked around the water until he took off in the yachting industry, running and sailing boats globally until he moved back to Maine with his wife and young family. They started Boomerang Charters and look forward to sharing a Maine experience on the water with you!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

Transfer to/from departure site may be available and included in price depending on your location and distance from the dock.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 10% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
