Ready to catch some fish in Rockport? Look no further than Reef Rat Guide Service! Captain Michael will be your guide, bringing aboard their angling experience.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Redfish, and whatever else takes the bait. You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, popping, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Reef Rat Guide Service welcomes kids aboard, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Your day begins aboard a 22' Flatlander bay boat that can carry up to 5 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are included.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Reef Rat Guide Service.

M wife, her sister and husband and I wanted to go to Rockport and fish, but the trip was planned kind of late and a couple of the guides that we had used in the past were already booked. In a desperate move - because I didn't want to pass up the opportunity - I Googled how to find a fishing guide in Rockport, TX and was directed to the FishingBooker ap. Gave it a try and found Reef Rat - Michael Martinez. We took a chance and booked a trip with Michael and couldn't have been more pleased. We were supposed to meet him at 6 am and when we got there he was ready to go and we wasted no time getting out on the water. He put us on four different spots during our half day of fishing and we caught fish at every one of them, almost reaching our limit on speckled trout. Michael was very quick to keep fresh bait on hooks and our group being somewhat less experienced at bay fishing he offered a lot of help coaching us up on techniques - and it really worked. Everyone caught at least one keeper and the wives actually surpassed the husbands on catches on this day. When we go back we will call Michael first ahead of the other guides we have used before.

Thank you so much for the awesome review! It truly means a lot that y’all took a chance on booking with Reef Rat Guide Service, and I’m glad I was able to make it worth it. It was a pleasure having all four of you on the boat. Everyone stayed positive, listened to the coaching, and put in the work, which made for a great morning on the water. I really appreciate you trusting me with your trip, especially on short notice. Hearing that you’ll be calling me first for your next Rockport fishing trip is the highest compliment I could ask for. I look forward to getting y’all back on the water and chasing a full limit next time. Thanks again for your support, and I’ll see y’all soon!
Mike's knowledge of the bay and ability to find fish is outstanding, we wanted to get away from the crowds and Mike knew exactly where to go to stay on the fish and get away from other boats. Mike is extremely friendly, patient, and fun to talk to and fish with. I highly recommend Mike as a bay fishing guide!
