Turn your next trip to Rockport into the adventure everyone will be talking about. Join Capt. Brian Oxford, owner of First Light Guide Service, & experience some of the best inshore fishing the TX coast has to offer.
Whether you’re chasing your personal best, introducing your kids to their first fish, or looking for a memorable day on the water, we’ll tailor the trip to the conditions and your experience level. Depending on the season/conditions, you could hook into Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Alligator Gar, and whatever else decides it’s hungry that day.
No 2 trips are exactly alike. You may be popping corks over the grass flats, running cut bait on the bottom, or working artificial lures to fool that trophy fish. Your trip is catered to you. Every trip is an opportunity to learn, laugh, and make memories that last long after the boat is back at the dock.
Family fishing? Perfect! Kids are always welcome, and there’s nothing better than seeing a young angler reel in their first catch. Children are required by law to wear a properly fitted life jacket, so please check with Capt. Brian about available sizes or bring one that fits your child.
You’ll fish aboard a new 22’ Majek M2 Illusion that accommodates up to 4 guests and equipped with everything needed for a great day on the water. Rods, reels, tackle, & bait are provided. Looking for a more hands-on experience? Wade fishing trips are also available using your tackle.
Before your trip, be sure to purchase a valid Texas saltwater fishing license. Not sure what you need? Capt. Brian will gladly answer any questions before your trip. For the best experience, bring polarized sunglasses, a hat, lightweight UV-protective clothing, sunscreen (non-spray), snacks, and your favorite beverages. A Yeti cooler stocked with bottled water & ice is provided, with room for snacks! Beer welcome, just no glass.
