Make the most out of your fishing adventure in Ludington with Fish Craze Charters. To keep your charter trips affordable, we fish out of a 22' AAD Custom Aluminum Fishing Boat with a capacity of up to five passengers. The boat is equipped with outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials needed for a great day on the water. We offer both morning and afternoon trips.
Depending on the conditions, you may have the opportunity to catch Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Lake Trout, or Brown Trout.
During your trip, you can expect to troll Lake Michigan using either light or heavy tackle. We also offer jigging trips using light tackle with jigs and floating skein in Pere Marquette Lake.
Families looking to make a day of it will be happy to know that kids are welcome aboard. Please let us know if anyone in your group is 16 years old or younger so we can provide the appropriate size life jackets for each passenger.
Before coming aboard, everyone age 17 and older will need a Michigan Fishing License. Licenses are available online or locally at Captain Chucks, Pere Marquette Expeditions, Walmart, or Dunham’s.
Please bring sunblock (non-spray), drinks, snacks, sunglasses, and a sweater or jacket. Bottled water is recommended, and alcohol is allowed in moderation for guests 21 and older. Please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles. Keep in mind that offshore temperatures typically feel 5 to 10 degrees colder than they do on land.

With our kids (ages 17, 14, 11), we had an exceptional 5-10 pm trip. The app’s image header stated the trip was from 4-9 but the next few boxes down that specified booking details showed 5-10. The later hour was needed because the fish really started biting just before 9. We recommend confirming with Captain Alex via messaging for the departure as we arrived an hour too early. We would definitely book with Captain Alex again. Such great memories. Alex has a true passion for fishing and boating.
Top notch Captain Alex, my wife and i had an amazing experience with Alex& Sam.His knowledge of the area and his instinct was on point all night, his gear was in perfect condition to use all night, his boat was very clean and comfortable they made sure we had an amazing time and the netting skills on point very comfortable experience by the time it was over we felt like old friends thank you again Captain and crew. Highly recommended for an unforgettable time on the water
Captain Alex snd his first mate Ashton were awesome. They are passionate about their craft and love to catch salmon. We caught three large King Salmon and got a few others close to the boat. I would highly recommend these guys.
Unfortunately we only had a couple fish on and lost them both, we had a great time. They put us on the fish, just couldn't get them bite. Definitely going to book another trip out and see if we can land a few.
I took my grandson and he loved it. So did my adult son and I. Alex was a great host. He was a great coach making sure we landed ever fish we hook and we did. Would highly recommend him. Will be going again next year.
