Marathon has a fish with your name on it, so let Riplines Johnny Maddox help you catch it! With Captain Johnny Maddox at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
The fish in these waters include Wahoo, Spanish Mackerel, Yellowtail Snapper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Red Grouper, Permit, Cobia, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Sailfish, Mutton Snapper, Black Grouper, Goliath Grouper, and more with any luck.
On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Capt. Johnny Maddox runs a 30’ Cobia Center console with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as NO GLASS bottles.
And that's it! Your fishing trip with Johnny Maddox Charters abord (COME TO PAPA)is just a click away.
