Captain Jon 'Chewy' Stefanciw is a Traverse City Native that grew up fishing Northern Michigan. He has been Fly Fishing its waters for 25 years and guiding the area for the last 15. His passion and knlowledge of the sport and teaching skills, accompanied with his sense of humor make him a pleasure to spend the day with out on the water. He lives for chasing trophy brown trout and steelhead, but has a serious addiction hunting smallmouth bass and pike on the fly! Chewy also loves the nightime on the river, following hatches into the night and swimming rodent flies after hours and late into the summer season.
