Capt. Tluke Deep Sea Fishing 

The Lucas and Hannah is a hand-laid custom 36' Downeast Harris Canyon. This vessel has a deep keel for good seakeeping and was originally built for the Nassau County, NY marine police. She is swift, comfortable, and a customer favorite in her class. We have a private, clean, and comfortable bathroom with a shower, and a heated cabin and berthing area for your comfort.

We specialize in all-day and half-day ground fishing trips. The NMFS and the Atlantic States Fishing Council have opened up the cod fishery from 9/1 - 10/31/26, allowing each person aboard the vessel to keep one fish 23" or longer. The Cod fishery has been in distress for the last two decades in the western Gulf of Maine, and Capt. Tom is excited to bring all interested anglers out to his favorite spots during this 60-day opening.

You should expect to bring home Cod, Cusk, Haddock, Hake, Halibut, Pollock, Redfish, and, as bycatch, all types of sharks and tuna species in our area. 

The "Lucas and Hannah" has current dockside safety inspections by the USCG for six-passenger vessels. We carry adult and child-sized USCG-approved PDFs (life jackets), an 8-passenger inflatable life raft, an emergency position indicating radio beacon (EPIRB), life ring buoy, flares, fire extinguishers, and first aid kit. All passengers receive a safety orientation speech upon departure. 

Coolers: Bring your lunch and tackle boxes aboard; there is room in the cabin for all of the group's food, beverage, and tackle containers. Anglers should leave a larger cooler in their vehicle to receive their cleaned fish after the trip. The boat will handle cleaning and icing all fish.

Tackle & Bait: We support our anglers to bring their own rod and reels but note that the boat supplies all top tackle for effective fishing and it is included in your charter price. We use edible surf clams as our staple bait along with squid, mackerel, and herring.
