Rustic Fishing & Tours
There's a fish with your name on it in Belize City and Rustic Fishing & Tours will help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Howell is prepared to put you on fish.
These waters hold game fish like Great Barracuda, Yellowtail Amberjack, Mangrove Snapper, Sailfish, Spanish Mackerel, Black Grouper, Yellowtail Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, Blue Marlin, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Cubera Snapper, Red Snapper, and more, depending on conditions.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll be casting lines from a 32' Center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Before coming aboard, it may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Rustic Fishing & Tours!
