We had a very pleasurable outing. We were consistently catching fish at the places Capt. Jacob took us to. A recent storm had pushed some red snapper into the bay and we put some in the boat. We were not targeting sharks, but we hooked into several. They provided a good fighrand we were happy to put them back after a few pictures. Captain Jacob was a pleasure to visit with. A bonus of the trip was watching the Blue Angels practice around us and at times directly over us.
Very awesome experience! We caught a ton of all kinds of fish. Our guide was Captain Noah and he took us to some great spots for our Inshore trip. My 11y.o & 7y.o. were with us and they had an absolute blast. Both my kids have ADHD pretty severe and Capt Noah was super patient with them and assisted them with their fishing without hesitation. I would definitely book him again in a heartbeat if we come back to Golf Shores for another vacation.

We had an adventurous deep sea outing with Emerald “C” and Captain Gavin. It was not ideal conditions with rain storms around and 3’ waves but I think we made the most of it. Caught around 20 fish total with 11-12 keepers mostly Mahi-mahi and almaco and mingo snapper. We caught a few red snapper but just under the 16” length limit. Caught some nice triggerfish but released due to out of season. Kids had a good experience even though one got sea sick. Capt cut the trip short due to storm coming at us. Graciously adjusted our total. There’s a wonderful food truck on your way out called Deep Blue. They made great fish tacos from our catch then we ate the rest later for dinner. Overall a great experience and the highlight of out trip. I would have liked to have tried live bait such as pinfish for those bigger snapper. Maybe next time.
We booked with Captain Craig for a charter fishing trip for my 12-year-old son and his cousin’s birthdays, and it ended up being the highlight of our trip! Due to a thunderstorm the day before, Craig had to make a few changes to the itinerary, and we were so thankful he worked it out so our trip wasn’t completely canceled while also taking care of the group booked before us who had missed their trip because of the weather. We ended up fishing with Captain Bill, and he was amazing! He knew all the best spots, and we barely had time to sit before another fish was on the line. The kids had an absolute blast, and so did the adults! Great communication from start to finish, a clean boat, and they were always right there helping bait hooks and making sure everyone was set up for the next catch. Such a fun experience and such a great memory for the boys’ birthdays. We’ll definitely be booking with them again!

This was an epic day on the water. As avid anglers, we prefer a hands-on experience—rigging bait, working the rods, and handling the catch ourselves. The crew (Galvin, Garrett, and Brenden) were amazing and completely accommodated our style. We did an 8-hour offshore trip and stayed on the fish all day, catching a huge variety of species that put up some unbelievable fights. We kept only what we wanted for dinner, and the crew was more than happy to release the rest; they prioritize the experience over "trophy displays" on the dock. I highly recommend Emerald C and want to thank the guys for a day that felt like fishing with friends.
