Description

Light tackle back country fishing for REDFISH, flounder, trout, sheephead is a fishing charter dedicated to fishing Jacksonville’s backcountry creek fishing. Captain Brennan has been fishing the local waters since the day he was born in 1983.  Brennan is an avid angler of anything that swims, especially Redfish and anything that swims offshore. He is keen on showing his guests a great time, and loves taking kids out on the water too - his inshore boat can hold one adult and one child up to 75 lbs, to ensure the best experience and comfort for everyone on board.  You will have a blast and experience the hidden beauty of Jacksonville.  I have worked as an offshore captain running charters off Jacksonville for over a decade and I even worked in the Florida Keys as a fishing/ snorkeling captain for the Boy Scouts high adventure camp called Sea Base during 2007.

His boat is a Duranautic Aluminum fishing boat, which was originally built in 2015, and is powered by a small Yamaha 4 stroke engine. This makes it ideal for backcountry creek fishing, as he is able to reach the hidden spots easily and without making too much noise. His boat contains a GPS system, life jackets and a live bait tank to keep the bait fresh.

Backcountry For Redfish fishing charters can take you fishing off of Heckscher Drive by the Timucuan preserve, Simpsons Creek,  Clapboard Creek, and Brown’s Creek.  Additionally, we offer fishing trips to the pristine Guana Lake which is limited to small boats with less than a ten horsepower engine. You will be catching Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sheepshead, as well as blue crabs to increase the action! Captain Brennan fishes using live bait, fresh bait, or artificial depending on the fish.  Kids will have a blast catching fish and Blue Crabs. Rods, reels, tackle and baits are included, as well as drinks for refreshments. Captain can also clean and fillet your fish upon request.
