Captain Justin Rolph of Live Action Fishing Charters is a native of Crystal River, Florida, who has been fishing the local waters all his life. Always doing his best to help you land a great fish while making long-lasting memories, he is a very laid back guy who is also very passionate about fishing.

Live Action Fishing Charters fish aboard a 22 ft Nautic Star center console boat that can comfortably accommodate up to four people on fishing charters, and six on scalloping trips. This smooth-riding boat is powered by a 225 HP Yamaha engine to get you to the best fishing spots fast, and its GPS and fishfinder will help the captain pinpoint the very best places to fish on the day of your trip. There is also an icebox onboard to keep your drinks and snacks cool throughout the trip.

Captain Justin Rolph is an expert in fishing the wide variety of inshore and nearshore fish that inhabit the local waters. Whether you want to fish the flats, sight casting for Redfish and Snook, or to head into slightly deeper waters in search of Mangrove Snappers, Gag Groupers, Tripletail, Sheepshead, and Sharks, Live Action Charters have the gear you need to hook your target fish. And if you’d rather spend your day on the water searching for scallops in the summertime, Captain Justin will take you to the best spots and provide you with snorkeling gear so you can search for scallops in style.

All the fishing and scalloping equipment you need is included in the price of the trip, and the captain is also happy to clean and fillet your catch at the end of the trip.

“Looking forward to seeing you at the dock!” - Captain Justin

Fishing wasn't a part of my lifestyle like it is now and I don't think I was as interested with fishing as much as having a personal life when I was going through high school. My younger years and more recent ones I wanted nothing more than to be on the water with a rod and reel. Through the years I've learned many new things and I've really enjoyed showing others the small details about fishing and their tendency's. So I decided to take my life to level and do something I love. And here we are!

I took the family out scalloping , first for us. Capt.Justin was great ,very friendly ,  and as expected knew his way around the water. The day had a bit of weather early. Justin kept us out of the storms until they passed the area we need to go. We then proceeded to have a successful trip.

Capt had a borrowed boat with borrowed GPS which he stated only had 3 areas to fish and he felt they were not where he would have liked to fish.  His boat was “in the shop”.  He had no way to determine if fish caught were legal so a legal Cobia was thrown back.  Five people, 5 keepers caught all day, sad!

I’m sorry you feel this way and y’all didn’t bring a lot of fish back to the dock. You guys did however catch redfish,  trout,  grouper, grunts, cobia (which WAS under sized at 31 inches at the fork). I can’t control the size that bites the line. I did what I could with an extra large group throwing in the same location. There’s only so much room at some locations. Normally my max is 4 people and that’s tough itself. Wish you the best in the future

the day started with a introduction to a few shark and a nice size sting ray. While shark fishing our group of 4 caught a bunch of nice grouper that unfortunately not in season yet which promptly released. the largest shark wasn’t jaws but ranged in the 3 ft. cat. Did not have much luck catching any reds but the fishing was great. The captain was very personable and helpful.  Capt. Justin was very patient with our group of novices. Finished the trip with a mess of trout.  I would recommend a fishing trip with Capt. Justin for a great time!
