Captain Chris Barron owns and operates Stray Cat Charters, one of the most versatile fishing charters in the whole of the Florida Keys. Whether you want to fish Islamorada’s stunningly clear flats or tackle a mighty Sailfish nearshore, he will provide a thrilling sportfishing experience just for you, whatever the month of the year. Individuals, groups, and families are all welcome aboard, and all ability levels are catered to.
Captain Chris’s nearshore boat, the “Stray Cat”, is a 24 ft Everglades center console that is equipped with a powerful 250 HP Mercury engine and top quality electronics to get you where the fish are, fast. This spacious boat can easily take up to four guests on a safe but exhilarating fishing adventure.
While the “Stray Cat” is just right for fishing the local inshore waters and bays, it can also provide some of the best nearshore fishing there is. Its outriggers mean it can troll the waters more effectively than many boats of its size, and it has a large live bait tank that means kite fishing for Sailfish is always on the cards when the conditions are right. Whether you want to fish with bait, spin, or fly, Captain Chris will be able to provide you with the tackle and expertise to have an unforgettable time on the water fishing for anything from Snook and Tarpon to Snappers, Cobia, and Sailfish.
You will know you are in the best hands with Stray Cat Charters. With Capt. Chris being a Mercury Pro Team Guide, he will let you use some of the best equipment there is and make your fishing dream become a reality!
