Picturesque mangrove pathways, gorgeous skylines, and hard-fighting fish boiling the water – that's what fishing in Naples, FL looks like. Fish The Salt Guide Service is keen to put you right in the middle of this picture, with a rod in your hand!

Captain Tim Daugherty invites you to join him for a backcountry fishing adventure around Naples. You'll fish from his 22' Pathfinder center console. You can bring 3 fishing buddies with you; everyone can fish at the same time. The boat is perfectly suited to these waters – the draft is shallow enough so you can safely navigate the mangroves. An onboard wireless trolling motor will allow you to sneak up on even the spookiest fish.

Once you're on top of the fish, you can drop the onboard PowerPole to steady your cast. You'll want your cast as steady as possible, Capt. Tim will take you after some of the hardest-fighting fish around. Bull Redfish, Permit, Jack Crevalle, and others can be targeted – they're bound to give you a workout!

The catch list doesn't stop there either, you can go after Snook, Tarpon, Mangrove Snapper, Porbeagle Shark, Spotted Seatrout, Mackerel, and many other fish in the local waters.

If you've never experienced fishing Marco Island, Naples, Estero Bay, and the 10,000 islands, now's your chance! Book a trip with Fish The Salt Guide Service and explore the productive fishery of Southwest Florida.

Great day of fishing!
Half Day Trip (PM) on May 12, 20262 adults

We had a great time fishing with Captain Tim! We got the full experience of saltwater fishing. It was both my girlfriend and I’s first time saltwater fishing and Captain Tim was very knowledge and patient in teaching us the differences from freshwater fishing and how it different from fishing back home in the North. We caught a large diversity of species of fish, Snook, trout, red snapper, saltwater bluegill and Jack. The Jack were fun to catch because even the small ones but up a hell of a fight!

Reported catch:
Jack Crevalle

Family's Catch of the Day
Half Day Trip (AM) on June 25, 20264 adults

It was a fun morning for our family of four. My huband and sons love it! Tim was a great captain and knowledgeable fisherman! We caught lots of snapper and snook across a few different spots. We were able to keep some right sized snapper for dinner. Got to see several dolphins near the boat throughout too. It was a sunny, hot day. Recommend wearing sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a hooded fishing shirt.

Reported catch:
Snook
Redfish
Mangrove Snapper

Hard Work Pays Off
Full Day Trip on March 21, 20262 adults

Captain Tim worked very hard to get us on fish on a very tough day. We fished the tail end of a four day cold front so the fish were hard to find. But Tim got us on a stud red and big snook. Highly recommend fishing with Tim.

Poor Weather, Great Fishing.
Half Day Trip (PM) on March 18, 20262 adults

Tim put me and my son on the fish right away. The weather was not agreeable, but Captain Tim put us on the Jacks and the Snook. It was amazing. We will book again the next time we are here. Amazing.

Captain Tim Daugherty has been a local to Florida since he moved there as a young child, aged 4. He has started his love affair with angling in Tampa Bay where he was first exposed to offshore and backwater fishing, as well as fly and sight fishing. A love for the fragile ecosystem was ingrained in him at an early age. For the past 10 years, Capt. Tim has been lucky enough to do his hobby as a full-time job. He loves to instill his love for angling and nature into every single guest that comes on board!
