Chasin Tail Charters operate out of the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland where Stripers are so sought after, you will want to go out every day! The charter is led by Captain Brandon Moore who has been a fisherman his whole life and knows these waters like the palm of his hand. He will guide you to the most productive fishing spots you can imagine and put you on a number of fish species.
The Chesapeake Bay area is famous for good fishing and a climate suitable to very large specimens of Striped Bass and trophy Rockfish. There is also the possibility to catch other species that populate these waters such as Bluefish, Spot, Black Drum, Perch, and Croaker. You will be able to apply other fishing techniques like bottom fishing, live lining and chumming.
Chasin Tail Charters will take you out on their beautifully maintained 41 foot Markley commercial boat powered by a 650 HP FPT engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 20 knots. The vessel is safe and contains all the safety equipment and electronics you may need. It features an enclosed cabin with heating, a very clean toilet, a rear steering station, and a comfortable dinette-type seating area. Certified up to 28 passengers.
Once your trip is over, Captain Brandon will clean and fillet your catch so you can take it home for dinner. You are encouraged to bring your children along so they can learn about the local fisheries and the importance of preserving them for future generations. You will have a great day out on the water bonding with your family and friends, all in the company of an experienced captain.

Brandon and Steph were super accommodating, knowledgeable, and funny which made for a great relaxing time on the boat!!
Had a fun fishing trip with Captain Brandon and first mate Steph. Conditions were not ideal as it was cold and windy but Captain Brandon was persistent and found us a few nice stripers. Boat was a perfect size for our crew and Captain and Steph kept us entertained. We will be back for a summer run soon
Thank you! I set this trip up to surprise my husband for his birthday. They all had such a great time!!! Thanks so much to the captain and his first mate. It was an awesome day for them.
Despite six trolling lines in the water and two electronic fish-finders, the fish were not biting--not one bite in six hours. As Captain Brandon said: "in this business we're either a hero or a zero." The captain and his mate Kevin did absolutely everything they could, but the fish were on the bottom, inert, not active. The excessive winter and excessive cold water was the possible cause. But truth be told, captain and mate did everything they possibly could and more. I plan to come back. It's a great boat, a great captain and mate...just the wrong day for fishing.
Chasing Tail Charters was the best experience I ever had...Captain Brandon would not give up to we found fish and we did 8 over 22in Rockfish... Deck hand Stephanie knew exactly what to do and was there a quickly and efficiently.. Ready to book again before the season is over!!!

He loves fishing and hunting and takes his son on the trips.
