Captain Tony Gonzalez Inshore Fishing looks forward to taking you on a fishing trip of a lifetime in Rockport, Texas. Captain Tony will take you to an area that has the best of both worlds: grassy flats of Aransas Bay and Oyster shell beds north in the Goose Island area.
The incredibly rich water beds in this area ensure good fishing with species like Redfish and Trout present year round. Trout are Captain Tony's specialty, who says the Reds are also a blast to tussle with. There is also the super tasty Flounder which can be targeted from July to November.
Captain Tony Gonzalez Inshore Fishing serves Port Aransas, Aransas Pass, Rockport and Lamar, and if you let him know where you are staying he'll do his best to launch at your closest dock, weather pending for safety and comfort.
He will take you fishing on his 23' Stoner Super Cat flats boat, originally built in 2015 and restored in 2021. It is powered by a 150 HP Mercury engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 45 knots that makes it very fast.
The boat contains all the safety and electronic equipment needed for a safe and successful trip, as well as the necessary fishing gear and even a Bluetooth stereo so you can listen to your tunes.
Captain Tony says his main target is a fun time. If you have a vacation in the area there's a lot to do: shopping, beaches, bird watching, and dining in restaurants that will cook your catch. He hopes to see you at the dock soon and remember to 'reel reel reel'!

My son and I booked Captain Tony to go fishing on labor day weekend, and we had a fantastic time. We wanted to target redfish and trout, and Tony took us to a couple of good spots in Rockport. We fished for about 5.5 hours, and we caught 3 redfish (including a 28 inch/8lb bull), 2 trout, an alligator gar, several catfish, even a blue crab at one point. Tony taught us the best strategies for our target species, and we got a lot of action on the water. Tony is a funny guy, respectful, very knowledgeable, and made the whole experience very pleasant. We both learned a lot from him! After we called it a day, Tony fileted all our fish on site. He’s got good equipment on his boat, and he was happy to answer any questions we had about his equipment. Highly recommend.
Capt Tony was a fantastic guide for my parents and I. From the get-go, Tony was light-hearted and welcoming which made us feel at ease going with a new fishing charter. His conversations and extensive knowledge of fishing and the local environment made the hours of fishing seem more fun. We caught a lot of fish, including a bull redfish, which was awesome! We almost limited out on speckled trout too. Capt. Tony is very accommodating and he went above and beyond for us. Since this trip was a mother's day gift to my mom, I had hoped it would be a great trip, but it turned out even better than we all had hoped and she was incredibly happy, so thank you again Tony! We'll be back!

I have been in customer service my whole life. waiter/bartender in college. I ran a pool service company for 10 years just for the love of water, you become part of peoples families and got to meet a lot of interesting people. I grew up on Galveston Bay fishing piers and wade fishing at the end of my street. It wasn't till I was invited on a guided fishing trip with a local guide Russell Grumbels did I see a full box of fish. Over the next 10 years I got to fish with Russell countless times until he retired. I learned a lot and stayed in touch. With a little push from friends and family I decide to go for it, I only wish I had done it earlier.
