Reel Fishin’ Charters offers exciting trips in and around Orange Beach, Florida. Join Captain Ricky and allow him to show you around this rich fishery. Whether it’s a trip close to the shore, some bottom fishing action, or trolling, your rod bending adventures are waiting for you.

Your fishing trip will be held within the smooth lines of a 22-foot Everglades center console. Originally built in 2005, the boat comes powered by a 150 HP Suzuki 4-stroke engine. It can provide a comfortable fishing space for a family of six with children and is rigged with a GPS, a fish finder, a live well loaded with bait, and safety equipment.

Trips run from four to six hours. Depending on which trip you decide to take, you could be targeting a variety of species. Bottom fish for huge and delicious Snapper, Grouper, Triggerfish, Cobia, and Amberjack. Troll for exciting game fish closer to the surface, such as King and Spanish Mackerel, Wahoo, and Mahi-Mahi.

All fishing trips come with licenses, quality rods, reels, tackle, lures, and bait. Captain Ricky loves fishing and eating fish as well. He could take you to a place that will cook your catch and share his favorite recipes with you. As an added bonus, Ricky can take photos on every trip and e-mail the pictures within a day.

Snapper season is extended until 31st of December! Please note that red snapper can only be kept Friday-Monday until the end of the season.

Fun Day on the Water – Great Crew, Just Temper Expectations

We had a really good time on our fishing trip out of Fort Morgan Marina with Captain Rick and his deckhand, Alabama Girl. They were both fantastic — professional, friendly, and especially great with the kids. They made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. The boat was in great shape and had everything we needed. It was a bit choppy out on the water, and a couple folks in our group felt a little seasick, but that’s just part of fishing sometimes. Captain Rick handled it all well and kept things moving. The catch wasn’t quite as strong as we had hoped, but we did land some fish and got to take them home for dinner. Once we got back, the crew cleaned and prepped the fish for us, which was a much-appreciated touch. All in all, a great trip with a great crew. Just remember: fishing is fishing — you won’t always catch as much as you’d like or reel in the exact species you’re hoping for. That’s no fault of the captain or the equipment. If you go in with realistic expectations and a good attitude, you’ll have a memorable day on the water.

Rick and Stephanie were amazing. We were on fish as soon as the lines were in the water. They both helped us keep our lines baited and in the water and kept the boat clean and safe. Rick was a great coach and worked with me and my 12 year old son explaining the best ways to fish for the Spanish mackerel and spades that we were on. Rick cleaned our fish and packaged them up nicely. He also recommended different ways to prepare and cook them. We cooked a batch as soon as we got back to our condo and it was amazing. Great time, I 100% recommend you book at trip with them.

Snapper Trip

4 Hour Trip – Offshore (AM) on November 26, 2024 • 2 adults

Captain Rick took 2 of us out on a trip to catch snapper and he had us on them right away. We easily limited out pretty quick. He gave us options on what to fish next. We chose to keep on with what we were catching. Overall an awesome experience. We loved fishing with Rick. He very quickly becomes one of your buddies. I'll definitely be calling him up next time I'm in town.

Excellent fam fishing trip!

Went out for an offshore trip, had two 7 year olds and capt Rick and Stephanie did an excellent job making it fun for them to catch a few trips despite a tough bite and rough waters for our day. Stayed out as long as the little ones could make it and put great effort into getting us on fish, which we did. Great time!
