Hop aboard his 34’ Sea Vee for the ultimate fishing experience. She’s powered by twin Suzuki 300’s to provide a fast and reliable ride and can accommodate up to 5 anglers. Other features include a full range of navigational systems, a live well, cooler, and fish box to keep your catch fresh.
The waters surrounding Key Largo are some of the most productive in the state, with deep waters just a stone’s throw from the shore and a huge mix of species crowding into every habitat around.
This includes pelagic fish like Mah Mahi, Sailfish, Tuna, Kingfish, Wahoo, and Swordfish. You can even fish the patch reefs for smaller species like Yellowtail Snapper, Porgy, Hogfish, and more!
Capt. Josh offers a wide variety of trips, suitable for every level of angler, and is more than happy to customize them to accommodate any and all clients. He brings along top-notch gear to ensure a successful day and will even clean and fillet your catch at the end of the trip.

10 Hour Trip – Swordfishing
Take the trip!
Yes, private charters are more expensive but so worth it. A full day on the water spending time with your friends and family, then catching a swordfish to boot can’t be beat. Josh had a plan, knew what he wanted, and executed. We realize we were on a mission to catch a specific species in a huge ocean, and we are thankful it worked out. Josh was chill which kept the whole atmosphere calm and relaxing. He was so great with my son who asked no less than a million questions. Definitely going to be a repeat customer.

Amazing day with captain Josh. I can’t say enough to justify captain Josh’s efforts to put us on fish and he did just that beyond my expectations. Two Awesome Days with Capt. Josh & Crew
We spent a fantastic two days in the Atlantic with Capt. Josh chasing — and catching — dolphins. There wasn't a minute that Capt. Josh wasn't working hard to get us on fish or get fish aboard. The boat is clean and well maintained. Capt. Josh is personable and fun. His crew were excellent. On this trip I caught my first dolphin fish, caught the biggest fish I've ever caught, and caught my first blackfin tuna. Capt. Josh cleaned & filleted our catch, and we came home with enough dolphin to keep us in mahi mahi dinners until next year. I highly recommend Capt. Josh for a fishing charter that will catch fish and make memories!

This trip was INSANE - 10/10 would book again - Find out why SHARKS HATE CAPT JOSH HOLMES
Wow. What an absolute UNIT of a swordfish we picked up with Josh. First, the basics. Then, the story. Josh was incredibly accommodating and personable. He called us a couple of days before to confirm what time we wanted to start and where we wanted to meet. He helped us make plans based on what type of fish we wanted to catch and let me tell you . . . we were not disappointed. We met up in the morning with Josh and headed out to a depth of about 450ft. Started fishing for some tuna and dolphins. Had a few hits here and there, and then landed a small tuna. As the morning went on, we kept moving out into deeper waters and found some nice areas where sea birds were circling. Started casting again and landed 2 nice mahi dolphins. My brother and I were stoked and having a blast. But Captain Josh wanted to give us something a little more exciting. So we head out to a depth of about 1400ft and start fishing around again. Out of nowhere, we roll up on a 6ft mako shark that had just finished a fight with the absolute UNIT of a swordfish that you see pictured. Josh IMMEDIATELY starts circling the damn shark to scare him off. The mako backs off a bit and Josh pulls out two gaffs to lay claim to our giant swordfish. As soon as we gaffed into the swordfish, we realized it was a BEAST. This thing weighed an easy 500+ lbs. So we start maneuvering the fish around to the back of the boat to heave it in, as we are doing this, the mako is just watching us, waiting, pissed that we stole his lunch. After a good 20 minutes of heaving, we secured our catch and headed out, leaving behind a pissed and hungry shark. Once we got back, Josh stayed late and helped us clean and harvest the meat. We collected an easy 300+ lbs of meat that hadn't been chomped by the shark. It was INCREDIBLE. This was an adventure of a lifetime.
