Seafavorites Fishing Guide Service offers the perfect opportunity for two anglers to get out on the water and catch a variety of fish. Launching out of Steinhatchee or Horseshoe Beach on Florida’s Gulf Coast, you will be positioned to fish the untamed shallows of Florida’s Coastal Bend, aboard a boat nimble enough to explore even the shallowest flats.
You will be spending the day aboard Captain Joe Richard’s 16-foot AlumaCraft skiff, perfect for guiding 1-2 guests in shallow coastal waters, with top-quality tackle provided. He often takes out couples, fishing buddies, relatives, and father-and-son teams.
During your trip, you will mostly be drift-fishing over grass bottoms in four to eight feet of clear water. Captain Joe specializes in targeting Seatrout, but also redfish, Spanish mackerel and bluefish. Twelve different species, on some days. You can also set out a slightly heavier rod baited up for shark, cobia, and tarpon.
All trips come with quality spin tackle and lures, and the option to catch baitfish while out on the water, if that is more your style. Due to the boat’s size, there is a weight limit of 220 pounds per passenger, for safe weight distribution and stress-free fishing.
