Boulevard Paseo De La Marina
Cabo San Lucas BS, Mexico

Ursula IV - a spacious 34’ Crystaliner - is one of the most requested boats in Captain Olter’s fleet. It’s powered by a Cummins 330HP diesel turbo engine, making it one of the faster charters in his marina. The boat is equipped with two fighting chairs, flying bridge with twin canopies, a clean restroom with A/C, private bathroom, spacious deck and a cabin for relaxing. The vessel has a wide beam and plenty of space for fishing.

Captain and owner Olter Schcolnick has been in this business for more than 32 years, fishing in Cabo since 1983. Ursula IV is captained either by Olter himself or Captain Ricardo Agundez. Ricardo was born in La Rivera, located 55 miles east of Cabo San Lucas. His passion for fishing led him into becoming a captain, and now, with more than 35 years of experience, he is very knowledgeable about the best fishing grounds in the Cabo area. Miguel Ibarra, a local native, acts as Ursula’s First Mate.

Ursula IV carries high-quality fishing equipment such as Calstar & Milton custom rods, and Shimano two speed reels. It sports an array of electronics such as GPS with Chart Plotter, two VHF radios - ship to shore & Private - and a Furuno Fish Finder.

Fishing in Cabo San Lucas is one of the most intense fishing experiences in Mexico, allowing you to catch fish like Marlin, Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna or Wahoo. The Ursula team fishes for all of these and more, and supports catch and release of all Billfish. Captain Olter is also happy to tailor your trip to include snorkeling at no extra charge.

Great trip. We did not catch all target fish but that is expected.
Great trip!

The crew knew my target species was Marlin and, despite the fact the Marlin were scarce, they tried hard every day to put us on one.  That being said, we had 3 hook ups on day one.  None lasted long enough to get me to the chair.  On day 2, our live bait was never checked and, when we pulled it in, had been bit in half.  On day 3, at the end of the day, we tried for roosterfish and got several bites bit none landed.  I’m currently torn about what to say about this boat and crew.  While they seemed to try hard, our lack of success over 3 days was disappointing.

The trip was fine and we had fun, but we had only one bite and lost the fish while reeling it in.  There were several live bait fish left at the end since only one was put into the water at a time even though 5 lines were in the water.  Seems like other lines could have utilized the live bait.  Not sure if that would have helped.
