You’ll fish from a 28’ Alumaweld Formula Vee aluminum boat that can take up to 6 anglers. Whether a master angler or a complete novice, either way, you’ll feel provided for. To that end, the boat is equipped with reliable navigational equipment – GPS and a fishfinder. This will help you steer, and set the right pace.

Capt. Rod has been angling for 25 years, and will use all his tactics to help you get that fish. He wants to deliver a hassle-free fishing experience to groups of friends and families with kids. He’ll provide rods, reels and tackle, lures, and live bait. If there’s a piece of equipment you’re fond of, feel free to bring it along – there’s plenty of room on board.

March,April,May and part of June fishing for springer salmon. These are one of the best eating salmon. Also on these months will be catch and release sturgeon. These prehistoric fish can put up a fight. These trips will be in The Portland and Scappoose area. Just to be sure, check out the seasonality calendar before you head out. Chinook, Coho, Steelhead, Sturgeon, Walleye, Lingcod, and various bottom fish will all be the target of your bait.

This charter supports catch and release, but travelers can also keep the catch. However, bear in mind that during a certain time of the year, you can only keep hatchery fish. Capt. Rod will make sure that all your angling is according to law. Also, make sure to take care of the fishing and crabbing licenses beforehand.
