Kay Kib Fishing Charters 

captain and mate picked us up at 9am - there were 7 of us. while today was slow rolling, only 2 Mahi caught - the team was incredible to work with. we will definitely be back. the communications from the front office was always open and responsive. we appreciated that!

All I can say is Kay Kib fishing charter was the best experience I have ever had on a fishing charter! From planning our trip, Laura was amazing to communicate with and had everything planed for us to have a successful fishing trip. The food and drinks on the boat were excellent. The fresh ceviche they made with our catch was out of this world! Captain Walber and his mate Jaime were exceptional fishermen! They knew exactly what to do to keep the fish biting. My family and I will forever be grateful for the experience we had on the water. Thank you for the amazing memories we will always remember this trip. Thank you Kay Kib fishing charters!

My wife and I had a great time on the Kay Kib. Laura was very accommodating leading up to the trip. A week before the trip it showed the weather to be bad when we had it booked. She was very helpful in moving the date earlier where weather was expected to be better. We caught over a dozen mahi and some barracuda. Unfortunately no marlin, but that’s fishing! We hooked up in the first ten minutes and was pretty steady throughout the day. The fresh ceviche they made with the fish we caught was outstanding! We took some fresh fish down the road to a restaurant to cook for lunch afterwards by recommendation. It was also fantastic.

We were told the fishing had been slow lately so we were going to head to a different spot. About two hours in, the captain found a weed line and it wasn’t long after that the reel was spinning. After a fun fight and the crew doing a great job getting it in the boat we had a 79.5 inch white marlin. We also caught mahi-mahi on the way back in. This was their 6 hour trip which allowed us to travel a little further. Thank you to the crew for all the hard work.

While on our cruise to Cozumel, I booked a fishing charter for my husband and son—and it turned out to be the highlight of their trip! Despite a hiccup with the original boat having engine trouble, Laura quickly found another boat and crew so the day could still go on. And wow, was it worth it! They caught several dolphin/mahi and even a barracuda. These guys had the best time and will be talking about this unforgettable adventure for years to come.

Had an amazing XMAS Eve fishing trip. Capt and first mate Jimmy were outstanding and we were very successful on our Xmas eve 6 hour morning trip. Caught 10 Barracuda, 1 Tuna and a GIANT 70# Wahoo! First class all the way-I have been on dozens of charter trips from Hawaii to Florida and these guys are the best of the best!!!

The boat picked us up promptly at the pier, we arrived before the boat but it was waiting in line behind the dive boats for a space to pick us up. We fish Mexico several times a year and all over the Caribbean. This is our favorite part of doing a cruise. The boat was in good shape and the crew was great. We updated the total to four adults a couple days before with no problem. The was plenty of water, beer and snacks on board in including sandwiches and pudding for lunch. The even made Ceviche with the one fish we landed. The reels on board are the standard Penn International 50W, and most were in good condition, one was showing it’s age but the line was in great shape and they keep on top of the baits keeping the seaweed out of them while we trolled. We had three more hook ups on Mahi and a Bonita but this is where the trip fell a little short. Looking at some of the terminal tackle I don’t feel we were fishing with sharp enough hooks, as the second mate looked like he was pulling solid hooks sets, but we kept losing smaller fish on tight lines. I know you can loose fish from time to time but this was a pretty high ratio for what would have been a decent haul for the day. I think the crew should sharpen their hooks and it would put this charter at the top and a five star review.

Had a great day fishing the first half of the day we caught 2 or 3 mackerel but the second half i couldn't reel them in fast enough every pole had a fish on it
