My son and I went out with Capt. Ryan and had a blast. It was a tough day for fishing because the water temps were high which kept the fish from biting. We still caught fish though! I looked around and could see other charters not catching a thing (that’s not an insult to their captains, because it was just a hard day to get on fish that were biting), but we were able to still reel some in. We were safe, had a blast, and got to know Capt. Ryan while we reeled in some flounder, sea bass, a puffer fish, and a few lizard fish. We also saw some big barracuda hanging around as well which was cool. I highly recommend Captain Ryan!

We enjoyed our charter with Captain Ryan and cannot wait to do it again!  Two things a captain can’t control - the weather and the fish but they can control the experience and he made the experience AMAZING!
The weather was HOT and the fish were slow but Capt. Ryan made sure we had a great time on water and that we had a successful trip.  I am still excited over the puffer fish and the one that got away (a barracuda)has us telling everyone they need to book a charter with Ryan.
He was knowledgeable, courteous, and kept us entertained and happy all afternoon.

My family and I had a great time with Captain Ryan. We started out the morning cruising the creeks for some baitfish before heading offshore to the reefs. The sea was a little too choppy for my eleven year old though, so we turned around and headed back to the creek and jetties. While I was slightly disappointed we decided to head back, Captain Ryan went with the flow, which made for a much better experience for all of us. We had a little luck on some flounder at the jetties and caught a juvenile black tip shark and some croakers before calling it a day. Unfortunately it was a slow day of fishing for everyone based on the radio chatter, but Captain Ryan made the most of it. He is very knowledgeable, was attentive to our every need, and extremely family friendly. We will definitely be fishing with him again and highly recommend Palmetto Fishing Charters.

Started the morning out at the south jetty. Nothing but nonstop action from bluefish and Spanish mackerel. Captain Ryan set me and my 2 guests up with a just and told us to cast a reel and we did. Hooked up on probably 25 fish in the first 2 hours. Then spent time chasing the jumping mackerel around as the water started to become really wavey. Decided then it was a good time to go back to the inlet waters. Drug the bottom with a minow on a jighead and landed myself a flounder. Next we finished off the trip with some shrimp bait at the rock damn and caught everything from a croaker, toadfish, stingray, and even sea bass. Awesome time. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a thrilling morning.

Ryan was on time and friendly from the get go.  We had a 6 and 8 year old with us so he asked exactly what we were looking to get out of the trip.  We just wanted to catch some ocean fish, so he brought us to a hot spot of bluefish and mackerel. Landed several fish in the boat. 
The boy wanted a shark and Ryan delivered.  Put us on the reef and we landed 5 sharks, around 32” each, as well as several sea bass. 
He was very knowledgeable and accommodated my wife when she got a little seasick.  We headed for calmer waters and caught a few more.  He was very personable and helpful to the kids.  Would definitely book him again.  Thanks Captain Ryan!
