My 12-yo son really wanted to fish striper in the Delta and we found Captain Stan through this app. we had a full day on the water. we started on the SJ, checked out several different spots, popped over to the Sacramento, fished a few more areas, and then back to the SJ before hewding in. in all we fished at least 9 different areas. he was happy to keep going but we had evening plans. Stan was great. really nice guy, good stories from his life, knew what he was doing with the fish and gear, let my son drive the boat which was a nice touch, and cleaned our fish for us. i’d recommend Stan!

We had a great day fishing with Capt Stan. We will DEFINITELY book with him again on our next trip.

My wife, family, and I had an amazing time with Captain Stan. Our adventure began at 10 am due to the tides going out, however El Capitan made it worth our while and all of us had an absolutely great time. The wife and I traveled from the Nevada / Utah border while our two kids flew in from Kentucky. This was one of my more memorable trips to California. Thankyou Captain!!!

Captain Stan really knows his way around the Delta! My husband and I just moved to Bethel Island and wanted to know the good fishing spots. He took us all over the Delta pointing out the good fishing spots and differentiated between bait and lure fishing at those areas. He even did a map for us marking those spots. What a worthwhile trip!

Captain Stan was great very knowledgeable. Caught 5 fish. It was great.

While the afternoon heat hit 102 degrees, Deep Purple’s Smoke on the Water Rolling rolled through my mind as the air quality was sub optimal, and ultimately the fish won the day, we had a GREAT time. Our party was two adults and two teens who hadn’t been on a family outing since Covid hit. Video games and remote schooling were traded for hours of relaxing on the water trying to hook a salmon, and when all was said and done, the kids enjoyed it. Captain Stan proved to be very knowledgeable of the waters and has some great stories to help pas the time. He did amazing with the kids and I could tell it made him happy to see their smiles. They got to experience something they’d never done before and both were all smiles afterwards while we discussed the day driving back to the house. I highly recommend Stans charter for lots of reasons, but his love for the water and passing on knowledge stands at the front of that list. I will not hesitate to work with Stan again on a mission to slay some big fish. Thank you sir.

I live in Berkeley and was looking for a place to bring my brother fishing. He was coming from out of town and loves being out on the water. We chose Quetzal Adventures because of price point, availability, location, and good reviews. Booking was easy, and Stan got back to us within hours with clear instructions on how to get to the dock, even though we were booking last minute. You can tell he loves fishing, and it is contagious. He's lived and worked many other lives but does charter fishing because he loves sharing his joy of fishing with others. We had a tough start and had only a few small fish as we approached the end of our time but thankfully he stuck with it, poured us some drinks, turned up the music. Soon after, our luck changed. He found a school of fish and we ended up bringing in 3 large (and delicious) striped bass as well as plenty of throwbacks that were just as fun. My brother had a blast and is already talking about our next trip out on the water. Would strongly recommend.

I didn't know what to expect this is my first time chartering a boat. Captain Stan's boat super clean I was surprised how clean it was . He had plenty of drinks,he was very informative. Help out on teaching us how to troll for striped bass . we did a half-day trip but we ended up staying most of the day and we actually caught three fish. He was really easy to talk to and we went a variety of places to make sure we got the best fish I would definitely recommend Captain Stan and I am planning to go out again with him in the fall for salmon fishing

I went on the boat and had a lot of fun! We caught our limit of striped bass. The Capt. was kind, knowledgeable about the Delta, easy to talk to about a variety of subjects, and showed my 10 year old a great time! I will be booking with him again in the future.
