Book a trip with Quetzal Adventures and come catch some of the most sought-after fish in the California Delta. Captain Stan Koenigsberger has been fishing these waters for more than 40 years. Not only will he take you to the hottest Striper and Salmon fishing spots around, but he will help you target your catch using the best techniques available. Join him on Bethel Island and treat yourself to a fantastic experience!

Capt. Stan runs a 19’ Arima powered by a 150 HP Mercury engine. This vessel boasts a maximum cruising speed of 35 knots. She comes equipped with Raymarine electronics and premium fishing tackle, including Shimano and Abu Garcia reels matched with Okuma rods. There’s room on board for up to four passengers and children are welcome.

Fishing the California Delta gives you access to the Sacramento, San Joaquin, and Mokelumne Rivers, where a variety of sport fish are biting. You can catch Striper and Sturgeon in these waters year-round, while Salmon makes an appearance in the fall.

No matter when or where you fish, Capt. Stan will ensure that you use the most effective technique. His insight and experience make him the best Striper and Sturgeon guide on the Delta, as well as the best Salmon guide on the Sacramento River. Whether you are trolling for Salmon and Striper or bottom fishing for Sturgeon, he will help you land a catch to remember.

Quetzal Adventures offers private and open boat charters. You are welcome to take home any fish you would like to eat and Capt. Stan will clean and bag them for you.

Anglers age 16 and older must bring a valid California fishing license.

Come aboard and experience the best fishing on the California Delta!

Fantastic Time on the water
7 Hour Trip – Private Charter on July 21, 20244 adults
My wife, family, and I had an amazing time with Captain Stan. Our adventure began at 10 am due to the tides going out, however El Capitan made it worth our while and all of us had an absolutely great time. The wife and I traveled from the Nevada / Utah border while our two kids flew in from Kentucky. This was one of my more memorable trips to California. Thankyou Captain!!!

What a worthwhile trip!
7 Hour Trip – Private Charter on September 12, 20243 adults
Captain Stan really knows his way around the Delta! My husband and I just moved to Bethel Island and wanted to know the good fishing spots. He took us all over the Delta pointing out the good fishing spots and differentiated between bait and lure fishing at those areas. He even did a map for us marking those spots. What a worthwhile trip!

Full day excursion with Captain Stan
4 Person "Private" Charter on October 2, 20202 adults
While the afternoon heat hit 102 degrees, Deep Purple’s Smoke on the Water Rolling rolled through my mind as the air quality was sub optimal, and ultimately the fish won the day, we had a GREAT time. Our party was two adults and two teens who hadn’t been on a family outing since Covid hit. Video games and remote schooling were traded for hours of relaxing on the water trying to hook a salmon, and when all was said and done, the kids enjoyed it. Captain Stan proved to be very knowledgeable of the waters and has some great stories to help pas the time. He did amazing with the kids and I could tell it made him happy to see their smiles. They got to experience something they’d never done before and both were all smiles afterwards while we discussed the day driving back to the house. I highly recommend Stans charter for lots of reasons, but his love for the water and passing on knowledge stands at the front of that list. I will not hesitate to work with Stan again on a mission to slay some big fish. Thank you sir.
