Captain Nelson Vineyard dedicated his life to finding the productive fishing spots in the area and he's happy to share the knowledge with his customers.
Join him on a 23' aluminum fisher that is a comfortable ride for up to 4 anglers. With twin 115 HP Suzuki engines, the boat is safe and reliable and able to take you to the best bite in no time. You'll find everything you need on board, including quality Penn, Okuma, and Phoenix rods and reels, a fighting chair, and a live bait well.
When it comes to the fish you're most likely to catch, Largemouth and Striped Bass are the local favorites. Both half day and full day trips are on offer, and either is an excellent choice for a memorable family outing, birthday, or team building. If you're up for a different kind of challenge, go after Sturgeon, the mammoth fish that calls these waters home.
Capt. Nelson and his first mate will take care of everything you need while you're fishing, they'll even process and package your catch for you at the end of the day. The best way to show gratitude for their service is through tips and smiles.
Make sure you have your fishing license with you and pack plenty of drinks and food to keep you going. Kids are welcome to come with you, as long as they're 3 or older, and Capt. Nelson will provide life jackets for everyone.

Captain Nelson and his son Joey are not only pros at finding fish, but seamlessly work together to get bait in the water, and fish out of water. After about 10 “shakers”, we caught 4 keepers, to include a 10 lb fish. A huge bonus was Captain Nelson expertly filleted the fish. They were also great company and the trip went super quick. I’d definitely choose them again!
Captain Nelson and his Son, Jonathon were both very patient and laid back. My son and I were first timers on the Delta and had a great time catching about 20 fish. I would recommend this charter to anyone especially less experienced fishermen due to the crew’s laid back nature. Thanks again for a great day fishing guys!
We highly recommend Captain Nelson. He and Nate Matt gave us a superb trip. We had our limit of stripers before 10 AM. They were very helpful and fun to be with.
I have been using FishingBooker for many years. All great experiences but Nelson and his son are something special. They were very patient and informative. They were not just focussed on catching fish but willing to spend time before leaving the dock to talk about technique and education of the tackle. He also was generous and offering to be there for questions I may have when I go fishing by myself. Super high recommendation and would say if you want to catch Striped Bass in the California Delta invest in a day with Nathan. Incidentally we caught 15 striped bass that day.
