Enjoy Louisiana inshore saltwater fishing at its finest – head to Lafitte, find Bayou Obsession Charters and they'll show you how it's done. Captain Matt Mattice is a passionate angler with almost half a decade of fishing experience and he'll do everything to make sure you have an awesome and relaxing experience on the water.

He welcomes you on his 24' blazer bay out of the box in 2017 It's powered by a 2025 yamaha 300 hp motor and can easily carry to up to four anglers no matter the age. GPS and fishfinder on board are there to minimize the time spent on searching for the fish and maximize quality time spent on the water.

The captain will take you exploring local inshore and nearshore waters, and you'll also have the opportunity to go reef and flats fishing. Spend your day spinning in pursuit of Sheepshead, Redfish, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, and whatever else you may run into.

A variety of bait will be on board at your disposal – both live and artificial. Live bait is used for inshore fishing and will be waiting for you on the boat in livewells. You'll also get to use the best Shimano fishing gear free of charge.

Captain loves teaching beginners and kids; there's no age limit. Just make sure to let him know if you're bringing your little ones so he could prepare life jackets according to their weight.

And if one day of fishing just isn't enough for you, this charter will provide you with a premium lodging package. What else can you ask for an ultimate fishing experience?

7 Hour Trip on September 24, 2025 • 3 adults

Captain Matt was so dedicated to our group having a good trip that when due to a fluke he was barbed by a venomous catfish he refused go back to the dock for treatment. we tried to insist but he refused. He pulled the inch long barb out grab a 1st aid kit treated the wound and kept going. If anyone thinks this is no big deal they have never had a poisonous barb in them. We had a great time thanks to Captain Matt. We are already looking forward to our next trip out.

winter special 4 hr trip up to 4pl on March 19, 2026 • 3 adults

Matt was amazing even before the trip started..our Captain for the Ryan was great as well..so knowledgeable and helpful.  there were 3 of us and we caughy 50 sheephead on the all day trip!  we had a blast. could not have asked for a better experience.

We had a great time fishing today and caught quite a few fish, the boat was awesome. The captain was committed to getting us some fish in the boat and we tried a variety of spots. He had a great sense of humor and made our time on the water memorable. Recommend using this charter. It was a great deal.
