Captain Chad Kozik runs trips on board his 36’ Tiara boat. She’s perfectly suited to the waters of the Great Lakes. Powered by twin Crusaders with 350 HP each, you’ll be on your fish in no time. As one of the Great Lakes, Lake Michigan has excellent Salmon and Trout fishing. Chinook and Coho Salmon can be targeted as well as Brook and Lake Trout, Steelhead also. Everything about our experience with Balls Deep Charter was amazing! The Captain and his son were very knowledgeable and so fun and made our trip seamless. We ended up with almost 40 lbs of salmon we wanted to ship home to Utah. UPS was going to charge us $1000 to ship. The Captain graciously helped us out by freezing the fish and shipping it out a few days later and saved us over $800.
We will definitely be back!

Captain Chad and Jack provided a great experience fishing, especially for a bunch of guys with little to no experience. We had adults and children, and they made it an enjoyable experience for all of us. Especially at times when it was the action was slow (and the kids started to show signs of fatigue), they kept the kids engaged and it really showed they were concerned that everyone had a good time. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking to have a great day on the water and catch some fish.

The weather was perfect. We went fishing for my son’s 19th birthday. Fishing did not disappoint. Captain Chad was very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. All round great guy. We caught a few salmon & quite a few steelhead. Enough fish to fill our freezer for sure! Had a great time. Will definitely be looking him up for future trips 😊

Chad and his son gave my family and I the best charter fishing experience we’ve had yet. We got out early and almost immediately got on the fish. In total we caught 19! The boat was very nice and clean. We were worried about the chilly weather that morning but found out the boat is heated so that was a huge plus. We brought our two 7 year olds and 3 year old along with us this time and they had a blast! Very family friendly chatter. Couldn’t recommend them enough. We’ll be back!
