For added comfort, the boat features a clean onboard restroom.

We caught plenty of fish, including Cobia and Vermillion Snapper, and even landed the largest Cobia in the October Fishing Rodeo! It was an unforgettable day on the water filled with excitement, laughs, and great memories. Highly recommend The Great Escape for anyone looking for an incredible fishing adventure! Morning 6 hour offshore bottom - 1:00 PM on July 13, 2025 • 6 adultsGreat 6hr trip for our family of 6, boat was clean and well equipped, plenty of room inside the cabin with cold AC if you wanted to cool off. The captain and deckhand worked hard to put and keep us on fish, we caught our limit of vermilion snapper, a few red snapper, few kings, few Bonita, amberjack and more. They trolled going out we caught a few kings trolling, bottom fishing was great, trolled in and caught a few more kings and Bonita trolling in. Great trip for our family.

Captain's Jason and Bill were absolutely great. Captain Jason kept us on the fish and his boat was more than perect for the 6 in my family. Spacious and accommodating. Captain Bill was non stop there to lend a hand, baiting, rigging and ensuring that no time was wasted keeping lines in the water. We caught several species of fish and all 6 of us agreed that this booking was A+ from beginning to end. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a quality trip out. Will be back next year. Thanks guys!

capt jason and deck hand capt bill were outstanding. they put us on the fish at our very first stop we immediately start getting hooked up and bringing in fish to keep. we caught our limit onred minnies, caught several red grouper, only one keeper. also caught several trigger fish and 2 keepers. the boat was smooth in very rough seas. would deffinatly do it again with them given the chance

Hello, I'm Captain Jason Rogers, I was raised between the Pacific Northwest and Destin, Florida, I was born into a life on the water. A third-generation professional fisherman, my journey began in the Pacific Ocean working alongside my father in commercial fishing, where I learned early that the ocean demands discipline, preparation, and respect. In my late teens, my father was lost at sea — a loss that changed the course of my life. I stepped away from fishing and became a marine diesel mechanic, dedicating my work to keeping boats safe and helping crews make it home to their families. Learning vessels from the inside out still shapes how I operate today, with safety, reliability, and preparation guiding every trip offshore. But the water never stopped calling me back. Through faith and purpose, I returned to fishing in 2011 and launched my charter business in Destin, combining decades of experience with a lifelong respect for the sea. Today, I fish the Gulf with families, first-time anglers, and seasoned fishermen from around the world. Both of my sons have worked independently as deckhands aboard my boat over the years, continuing a family tradition built on hard work, safety, and respect for the water. Because a great charter isn't just about catching fish. It's about trust, experience, and memories that last long after the dock lines are tied.
