If you're looking for an active, unique, and extremely fun way to fish, Easy Spearfishing is the right charter for you! Spearfishing is the most dynamic way of fishing. Join Ruben Canfield as he teaches you apnea and freediving techniques, how to recognize the different reef species of fish, as well as instructing you which ones are protected and which ones aren't.
The vessel they use is a 23' custom-built offshore sportfisher. It's powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine. It's capable of comfortably seating 6 people, although due to safety concerns, only 4 spearguns are to be in the water at the same time. All of the equipment required for spearfishing is provided by the charter, as well as the training to use it.
Spearfishing is the most selective way of fishing available to the modern angler. The beauty of spearfishing isn't just in the hunt for the fish, it's also the gorgeous undersea landscapes you get to witness. This charter will take you to the breathtaking reefs of the Mexican coast, teeming with colorful fish and inspiring views.
Captain Ruben accepts and encourages children to learn how to spearfish in a safe and responsible manner. Being a marine biologist, all customers will also learn some interesting lessons about the species of fish they are targeting, as well as the local ecosystem. After the trip, the crew will clean and fillet your catch, so you can enjoy a tasty feast you have caught with your own two hands!

Fue mi primero tiempo hace este y porque los instrucciones del Rubén pude pescar un pez con una lanza. Todo el viaje fue increíble, si te gustas pescar y estás quedando en a Playa Del Carmen, Tulum, o Cancún este actividad es necesario! One of the best experiences of my life! Captain Rubén knows so much about the sea and where to find the fish. It was my first time doing this, and thanks to Rubén's instructions, I was able to catch a fish with a spear. The whole trip was incredible! If you like fishing and are staying in Playa Del Carmen, Tulum, or Cancun, this activity is a must!

With a great experience in mind he put safety first. We were not skilled enough to dive on big fish, but Ruben put us on fish that were at our skill level. One of the best experiences of my life! Captain Rubén really knows his stuff about the ocean and where the fish are holding. It was my first time spearfishing, and thanks to Rubén's instruction, I was able to land a fish with a spear. The whole trip was incredible! If you're into fishing and staying in Playa Del Carmen, Tulum, or Cancun, this activity is a must!

Having never spearfished before I was a little apprehensive about a trip like this however Ruben was an excellent guide. The equipment was all provided and he was an excellent coach who had safety as a priority throughout which was very reassuring. He challenged me to push my boundaries in a way that was comfortable and encouraging with positive advice throughout. This isn't fishing in a conventional sense, this is snorkelling with a speargun and the snorkelling itself was phenomenal. Within minutes we'd seen a turtle, sharks and a ray - something I never expected and will never forget! Sadly having swallowed a large amount of seawater I struggled with sickness but it was still a fantastic afternoon and a very much once in a lifetime opportunity. Thank you very much Ruben for the help, guidance and patience!
