You'll be fishing aboard a 2021 25' Kingfisher offshore sportfishing boat that's equipped with a 350 HP Suzuki engine and a 20 HP Suzuki trolling motor. The vessel's powerful engine can have it reaching an impressive top speed of 40 knots, so you'll be on the fishing grounds in no time. The boat also has amenities such as a fixed head toilet and air-conditioning inside the cabin.
Lake Ontario is well known for its fantastic Salmon fishery, especially when it comes to Chinook Salmon in particular. Captain Mike did not let us down. Even on short notice (we were only in town for another day), Captain Mike got us out onto Lake Ontario. He did warn us about challenging conditions, but we were up for the challenge. My oldest son and I primarily fished, and the rest of the family went along for the ride. Captain Mike did great in managing the boat, and the equipment. Despite all the challenges, Captain Mike stayed on course with a steady resolve and put us on fish. We were on numerous fights with fish, and we landed several beautiful Trout. This was a great lesson for my fishing buddy son - that everything doesn't come easy or instant, and it takes some work to find fish. Mike was patient with my son and I as anglers, and kept an eye on the rest of the family as well. He let us know that if conditions got too difficult at any time we could turn around and go back in, & not to feel pressured to continue and finish the trip. I would not hesitate at all to go back out with Captain Mike. If he did this well in challenging chop, I can only imagine how good he'd be on an optimal fishing day! Thanks again for a great time Captain Mike!
It was a hot day with a little breeze, so it started off slowly. But due to the skills of captain and 1st mate, we were able to catch 6 fish in total. The largest salmon was 16lbs to eat and I hooked a lake trout that was 25lbs (released). The boys and I really enjoyed it, thanks Mike!
Captain Mike was great to go fishing with. Very knowledgeable and great fishing guide. Enjoyed the charter and look forward to coming back.
We were lucky to be in the hands of very experienced crew and had a ton of fun and caught many fish as a result.
Captain really knows his stuff and it shows he gets you on fish and its just a matter of time! Had a great expenrience overall
