Calabash Fishing Fleet – Miss Calabash
Calabash Fishing Fleet is a full-service charter company operating out of Calabash, NC. They own and operate a range of spacious, well-equipped charter vessels which can carry large groups out in search of even larger fish!
You will be spending the day aboard the “Miss Calabash”, a 46’ Atlantic fishing boat built in 1991 and powered by twin Cummins diesels up to a respectable 20 knots. The vessel is able to carry 16 anglers out in search of tasty fish and is loaded with tech and equipment to bring in the best of them once you’re in place.
The vessel has GPS, fishfinder, and the experienced Captain Todd, who will use all these gadgets to make sure you stick to the best spots like glue. The boat has a livewell which you can load up with fresh live bait (caught on the trip) and quality Penn tackle to let you hold your own against whatever the ocean throws at you.
And that could be pretty much anything depending on where you fish. The Miss Calabash travels 60+ miles offshore on her longest runs, and even in the shallows, there are plenty of hard-fighting fish to choose from.
Inshore species include Seatrout, Flounder, Black Bass, and King Mackerel. Offshore, you could hook anything from big Grouper and Snapper to monster Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, and Wahoo. Wherever you are, you’ll find plenty of freezer-fillers and some serious fights, too!
At the end of your trip, all your catch will be cleaned and filleted, ready to take home and enjoy. A customary tip of 15-20% is expected to reward the hard-working crew. They will certainly earn it!

Excellent trip in every way. Prior to the trip, the captain communicated often with me to provide details and updates. I even had to change the trip date, which was immediately accomadated. For a special shout out to our crew, Alec and Roy, the captain and deck mate. they baited our hooks every time and pulled the fish off of the hooks. They were outstanding. Our little group of 7 people caught over 200 fish for the day. I couldn’t believe how well the fish were biting. What a fun day we had and can’t wait to go again.

Thank you for fishing here with us! We hope to have you come back out soon!
Trip was cancelled on schedule date (7-25-26) due to mechanical concerns with boat. Issue was investigated and corrected within a couple hours, trip was rescheduled for the 7-27-26 which turned out to be a major success. We caught a variety of fish, from two large Amber Jack’s to many vermillion snapper’s, We did Gulf Stream 12 hour trip. The crew was outstanding to helping us check off item’s on our bucket list. Coincidentally the crew Randy (captain) and Tom (1st mate) are US Coast Veterans like my friend (40+years)and myself(what are the odds? Great trip and our Thanks to Randy and Tom.
Booked a four hour trip expecting minimal catch but were we wrong! We had over 20 fish and were able to keep 11 of them. Jordan and Ray did a great job helping us get the fish off our hooks while allowing time for photos. They were very knowledgable and Jordan made sure to reposition the boat when we drifted too far off the mark and bites slowed. Our take home included sea bass, rock bass, pigfish, blue line grouper, and a spade fish. Highly recommend and we will be booking again when we return to Myrtle.
Mid August trip, warm water temps but captain put us on fish every spot. My boys cought over 30 fish each. 4 keepers total of 16 guys on board approximately 30 keepers for hole boat.... to put that in prospective 4 days prior we went out on larger head boat with 50 guys and 0 keepers.
our original trip got cancled due to motor issues. they called me the day before and made it right by taking us on two different charters the next. day didnt catch as much as i think we would have on the original charter we booked but over all we had a bkast and ended up catching a 6ft shark

Thank you for the great review and thank you for working with us! We hope to see you back aboard very soon!
