Carp fishing in Croatia draws anglers to clear rivers, quiet lakes, and well-kept reservoirs. You can target chunky Common Carp and Mirror Carp, with Grass Carp showing in some waters. Mild weather, varied venues, and beautiful scenery make this a relaxed freshwater adventure.

Most anglers use bottom fishing with boilies, corn, or pellets. Hair rigs keep the bait off the hook so carp feed confidently. Feeder fishing and method feeders work when you need steady groundbait. Float fishing shines in calm margins. Night sessions are popular in warm months, while spring and fall bring active daytime bites.

Guided trips often focus on comfort and steady action from the bank. Your guide may provide rod pods, bite alarms, landing nets, and unhooking mats to protect the fish. This suits beginners, friends, and families who want a calm, social day outdoors. Pack polarized sunglasses, sun protection, a light rain jacket, and bug spray. Bring snacks and water, and be ready for patient, quiet fishing.

Croatia offers diverse areas for Carp. Northern lowland counties hold productive rivers and gravel pits near the Sava and Drava. The Danube backwaters and floodplain lakes can be very rewarding. Central regions feature managed reservoirs and park lakes around major towns. In the south, select lowland lakes and slower river stretches also hold good fish. Focus on reed beds, drop-offs, and quiet bays away from heavy traffic.

Before you go, check current rules for freshwater fishing in Croatia. Make sure you have the right fishing license or day permit. Review local seasons, harvest limits, and any catch-and-release rules on the water you plan to fish. Regulations can change, so confirm details with your guide or the local authority ahead of time.

(Big Game Tuna Fishing 7h Trip)

Half day trip with Marko and his colleague

We had a great fishing trip, the boat was a true beauty. The crew is super driven by themselves to catch some nice tunnies. Their enthusiasm was so great to witness. On board they made fresh mackerel carpaccio and the taste was just tremendous. Despite not having caught a tuna, the experience was wonderful, we had the most beautiful sunset with some wine and it was magical. I would recommend the crew + boat to everyone!

    (Big Game Trip (4 MAX))

Big Game with Marijo and Bepo

Met Marijo and Bepo early for a big game.trip.with my 2 boys. Tuna carpaccio for breakfast was delicious. Unfortuanately I fell I'll but they took great care of my boys, making sure to help them fish. No tuna, but we did have some excitement with a shark sighting! Tuna for lunch to finish our day. Swimming was offered but we passed as we were beaten by the sea. Thanks!!!
