Brock Johnson’s Guide Service runs angling trips out of Warrenton, OR, and offers to show you what fishing the Pacific Northwest is all about. 

Capt. Brock aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you're after! Depending on the trip and species, you'll be using techniques like bottom fishing and trolling. You're looking at 6 to 9-hour trips, where you'll go after the likes of Salmon, Sturgeon or Crab, depending on the weather and time of year.

You'll be fishing from a 25' Rogue boat with enough room for up to 6 anglers at any single time. It also includes a toilet for your comfort and an ice box to keep your catch fresh. You'll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip, and Brock will even clean and fillet it after the day is done.

All the necessary fishing gear is included in the price of your trip. Please keep in mind you'll need to get a fishing license and angling tag before the start of the trip, and any snacks (no bananas!) or drinks you want. Alternatively, Capt. Brock can arrange lunch at an extra cost.

Want to bring the rest of the family along for the ride? Kids are welcome aboard, so you're free to make it a family adventure.

Please beware that the weather on the coast is very unpredictable, so wear layers. Wear warm clothes and also bring some sort of rain gear – sometimes the runs to and from the fishing grounds can get a little wet.

Dungeness Crab is some of the best shellfish the north coast has to offer. I supply all pots/rings all you have to do is show up with a shellfish license and some warm gear. I can throw the pots out the night before and we all go out the next day and pull them or we can throw them out as group and wait out there depending on the weather/tides. Book with me and load yourself up with fresh Dungeness Crab!

5 Hour Trip – Dungeness Crab

Sturgeon are an incredible fish. Basically a dinosoar, they've been around for roughly 130 million years. They live to be over 100 years old and can grow as long as 15 feet long. They are a thrill to fight, and truly a bucketlist fish!

A full day trip starts with pickup at 6 a.m. at a selected destination – the captain will give you one day's notice of where that will be, as it will depend on where you're going to fish that day. You'll fish until 3 pm then head to the dock.
