Begin your Florida Keys adventure on the water with Miss O Sport Fishing. Captain Nolan Wilson is a local guide who welcomes you aboard his bay boat located in the heart of Islamorada. Florida Bay, Everglades National Park, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Atlantic Ocean all come together in Islamorada to create a world-class fishery full of variety that is accessible by a bay boat. It is truly a special place that you have to get on the water to fully understand and appreciate.

With experience in and passion for backcountry and nearshore fishing, Captain Nolan specializes in light tackle sport fishing charters where you can a variety of species on any given day. Miss O Sport Fishing will tailor the charter to create the best possible experience on the water for you and your party.

Your trip will take place on a 24’ Xplor Andros bay boat that can safely take up to 4 guests. It is powered by a 300 HP Mercury engine and equipped with modern navigation electronics, all contributing to a quick and safe reach to the fish. The boat also features an ice-box, a wireless trolling motor, and a livewell.

The Florida Keys offer a great choice of fish to target. The species you can encounter on your trip are Tripletail, Speckled Trout, Redfish, Tarpon, Snook, Goliath Grouper, various Snapper types, Spanish Mackerel, and Ladyfish. To attract your prey, you can use jig pop, fly fish, and drift fish, all using light tackle.

You are free to keep the fish you catch and the crew can clean and fillet it for you after the trip. Kids are welcome to come aboard, so bring along the whole family for a lovely day on the water.

Captain Nolan provides fishing tackle, bait, and licenses. You will only need some snacks and drinks for the trip. Keep in mind that fly fishing gear is not included in the price and that you should bring your own if you want to use this technique.

Half day trips are a great introduction to nearshore and light tackle inshore fishing. Depending on the time of year and conditions, a half day trip can be open water gulf of Mexico fishing, Tarpon fishing around the bridges and channels of Islamorada, nearshore patch reef fishing, or venturing into Florida Bay to fish the mangrove islands.

The three quarter day trip is an excellent choice for backcountry fishing in Florida Bay within the Everglades National Park. The three quarter day gives you and the crew time to travel further into the park to target Snook, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Tripletail, Tarpon, Mangrove Snapper, and many other species.

3/4 Day Trip

A full day trip allows more time to travel further into the remote areas of Everglades National Park and spend more time looking for trophy fish. This trip will usually entail a 15 to 30-mile ride back into the Everglades. A variety of live bait and artificial baits are used with light spinning gear while targeting many species including Snook, Tarpon, Redfish, Tripletail, and Speckled Trout.
