Fishing CR is a family-owned business that operates out of Herradura. Captain Luis has been fishing in the area their whole life and know these waters like the back of their palm. Being very skilled and patient makes them great teachers for novice anglers. Use the opportunity to fish with locals, learn something new, and catch the tastiest lunch!

Come aboard the 28’ Panga boat. This center console accommodates up to 4 anglers, including children 4 years old and up. The boat is powered by a 150 HP Yamaha engine, which is more than enough to take you up to 30 miles offshore. Equipped with everything you need for fishing, First Mate Luis is ready to assist whenever you need him. Tipping is customary to show appreciation for his hard work. 

The catch of the day depends on how long you stay on the boat and how far off the coast you go. In the nearshore waters, you can go after Roosterfish, Grouper, and Snapper. A few miles further you can hope for Wahoo, Barracuda, and Tuna. For the most persistent anglers, the true prize lies even further when you reach the home of Marlin and Sailfish!

Except for Billfish and Roosterfish, you can keep the catch, and the crew will clean it for you. They’ll also cover your fishing equipment, live bait, fresh fruit, and soft drinks. The longer trips also come with sandwiches included. 

Whether you want the whole boat for yourself or to share it with other anglers, Fishing CR can make it happen. Experience Costa Rica in an authentic way and come fishing with locals!

Great trip to test your luck within 15 miles from shore. Whether we try for pelagic offshore, or some great dinner meat on the bottom rocks, this is a super value trip. Trip includes, water, soft drinks, fruit and snacks. If we are lucky enough to get some meat on deck, the crew will prepare ceviche or sashimi on the spot!

Half Day Near Shore

Couldn't get the whole day just for fishing? You can still reach offshore waters and catch Billfish! Make sure to take a good photo because you can't keep these as a trophy. You can also catch Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Snapper, Wahoo, and more. If you're within 10 miles from the marina, the captain can arrange a pickup.

3/4 Day Trip

Most bang for your buck! Highly suggested for your chance at Pelagic fishing! You can choose which fishing grounds you want to visit. This trip includes fishing equipment, drinks, beer, fruit, and sandwiches. A pickup can be arranged if you're within 10 miles from the marina.

Full Day Trip

This is a full day, with a tank full of gas and no expenses spared. We will chase the bite for Tuna, Marlin or whatever the bite is. Full throttle to that spot and hopefully land some pelagics!
