Get a real appreciation of Balinese culture with The King of the Sea. Bali and its surrounding islands are home to a rich culture that puts fishing right at the heart of it. Explore the productive waters around the island aboard an authentic boat with a local captain.

Captain Bajil Sentana is a native to the island and has been fishing his whole adult life. Having enjoyed his time out on the water as a hobby, he thought why not use it to put some food on the table. He soon realized that running charters is more than that, and he hopes to welcome you aboard to join his fishing family.

The 33’ custom-built traditional Balinese “Jukung” boat is a thing of beauty. Its double outriggers extend far beyond its narrow body and out into the water like spider’s legs. You’ll navigate all kinds of water and have perfect balance when battling it out against a monster fish. Just bring your own snacks and drinks to make the most of a thrilling day on board.

Head up to 1.5 hours offshore and troll to entice the bite of some beautiful, exciting, and downright delicious fish. In the deep, they’ll grow to enormous sizes and you won’t believe your eyes when reeling in a dazzling Nannygai, shining Trevally, radiant Coral Trout, and many more.

On reef trips, you’ll target the same fish but without exploring such a vast expanse of water. Add to your list the Groupers and Barracuda, among more, and you’ll have just as thrilling-a-time as offshore. These waters are also prime snorkeling locations. Discover the magical world underwater as you investigate the day-to-day lives of these tropical fish.

Up to 10 guests are welcome aboard, so bring a party with you and engage in a true cultural trip. Before you head out, you can even agree with the captain to pick you up somewhere on the water. While at the end of the day, you can keep your catch and head to a beachside restaurant to devour it. What more could you want? Hop aboard and become The King of the Sea!

Spend 5 hours exploring the stunning waters off Lembongan Island. Get off the island and out onto the tropical reefs that plenty of delicious and beautiful fish call home. Bottom fish and have a real hands-on experience, as you attempt to lure the bite of stunning Coral Trout, Red Snappers, Trevallies, Groupers, and plenty more. These waters are prime for snorkeling. Let your captain know that you'd like to try it and discover the magical underwater world first-hand.

Any group between 2–10 people are welcome aboard the traditional Balinese boat to explore the deep waters offshore. Head out across the Bali Sea or out into the Indian Ocean and get your fish on. You'll explore a range of fishing grounds as you're constantly on the move, trolling behind to catch the bite of anything from a Snapper to a Trevally, a Grouper to a Barracuda, dazzling Coral Trout, Needlefish, and many more. You can even go snorkeling, just let your captain know beforehand.
