Blu Flu Sportfishing simply began as a few cops who had a passion for fishing. Over the years, we have honed our skills and decided, what better way to further our passion than to share it with others who have the same passion and even include those who are completely new to the sport!

When we head out, our priority is to put you on the meat. We know that you did not book your charter to go for a boat ride, so we will do everything possible to bend a rod! If harvesting your catch is desired, we will absolutely keep, fillet and bag your catch for you (regulations permitting). If keeping the fish to harvest is not your thing, we fully understand and support that. We just want you to enjoy your time on the water!

Aside from catching fish, we have to keep safety paramount. If the weather or seas just are not cooperating the day of your charter, we can either re-schedule your trip or stay inside the inlet and fish. Either way, we are always prepared.

Blu Flu Sportfishing

This trip is typically 6pm-10pm, but we will stay if the bite is good! It is geared towards the angler that wants to tango with a beast, but doesn't want to venture out. This trip is typically at a near shore spot or in the local bays and is always a good time. Complimentary water and BEER is included on this trip for guests 21 and older. This trip is limited to 6 passengers.

We depart in the morning or afternoon to catch the bite! These trips emcompass a variety of bottom fish that are caught on both artificial and fresh baits. Limit 6 passengers.

6 hour wreck fishing

During the fall striper runs, we move the boat north and fish the Raritan Bay. These 6 hour trips are typically non-stop action, as the Raritan is a notorious treasure trove for these migratory fish. During these trips, stripers are exclusively targeted and we employ the use of trolling, bait fishing and jigging. Limit 6 passengers.

Fall Striper Trip

8 hour wreck fishing

This too, is a full day trip. We will be targeting mako, thresher, brown, hammerheads, tiger sharks, etc. We leave the dock before sunrise and we return home late afternoon. We will be at proven spots up to 60 miles offshore. Limit 6 passengers.

Sharking trip

This is a full day trip. We will be targeting Tuna and Mahi, but it is not uncommon to have bonito, big blues and even sometimes shark enter our slick.We leave the dock before sunrise and we return home late afternoon. We will be at proven spots up to 60 miles offshore. Limit 6 passengers.

Tuna/mahi trip

This trip is for the serious anglers. When you're up to 100 miles from the dock- Tuna, mahi, swordfish, marlin, shark are all on the table when that outrigger pops and reel starts screaming. This trip will test your endurance and muscles. There is nothing like going from zero to 100mph when you're out in that cobalt blue water and line starts peeling off. Our crew does everything possible to capitalize on the conditions and employ any and all techniques to hookup. We usually leave the dock around 1am.

Offshore Canyon fishing

Experience the ultimate offshore fishing experience.  Not only are the same pelagic species possible as our canyon trips, but you're doubling your chances of laying into them! You've never seen the sky and stars like you will on an overnight canyon trip. Its truly an experience to be cherished and remembered. Whether its trolling for tuna and marlin during the day or deep dropping for swordfish, shark and tuna at night- you're sure to have a great time. Limited to 6 passengers. Beer included! 26hr trip.
