Welcome to Jakes Saltwater offering Saltwater  Fishing Charters out of Beautiful Homer AK

We offer several unique fishing trip options, based on our customers desired fishing goals and dreams. We look forward to taking you fishing and making memories that will last a lifetime.

Your Fish will be fillet and ready for package at the end of our trip.
Homer Fish process and Coal point seafood can package and freeze your fish. They also sell airline approved insulated boxes to bring your fish home with you.

Our Vessel the Nauti Nellie was built in 2016 in Roseburg, OR  by North River Boats, they specialize in heavy gauge aluminum boats for commercial, recreational and military use. She was designed for Alaskan waters and will keep you dry and warm on our journey to the fishing grounds. While being able to take in all  the wildlife and beautiful scenery. Nauti Nellie is powered by twin yamaha 300 outboards and a 25 hp kicker for Salmon trolling. Our vessel is equipped  with top of the line electronics and safety equipment.  There is a stand up head /restroom aboard

Fishing License are required and can be purchased at several stores in town or online at the Alaska Fish and Game website. Alaskan residents under 18 and non residents under 16 are not required to have a fishing license but will need a harvest card. Fishing license come in several options depending on how many days you plan on fishing. Don't forget your King Salmon stamp if you booked a Salmon Combo trip.
RQE_Recreational Quota Entity Halibut Stamp will need to be purchased from your Captain the day of the trip when Targeting Halibut. Halibut stamps are $20 a client

Multi Species  trips are a great way to add a variety of fishing styles to your trip and ability to bring more fish home. On this trip we will target Halibut, rockfish, salmon, and cod.

Halibut Multi Species

Homer, Alaska is the Halibut Capital of the world and every year thousands of fishermen travel from all over the world to  catch these tasty fish. The limit in 2025 is 2 Halibut a day with one of the fishing being 27'' or less

8 Hour shared Halibut trip

This is an action packed trip and the goal of the day is  put you and your group on as many fish as possible! Your captain will take you to a variety of different fishing spots to target different species throughout the day. At the end of the day your catch will be fillet and ready to be picked up by the processor of your choice.

On this excursion we'll depart from the Homer Harbor and make are way across Cook Inlet to Lake Clark National Park. If your crunched for time and seeing Bears and catching Halibut are on your Alaska to do bucket list, this is the excursion you've been looking for.
We'll depart from the Homer Harbor and make are way across Cook Inlet to Lake Clark National Park. Upon arriving in Chinitna Bay your guide will escort you around to the various viewing platform to see the Majectic Brown bears.   Depending on the tide we'll stop for a few hours ether on the way to or from the Bears to wet our lines  in search of Halibut.

Join us for an evening fishing trip, on this trip we will be target Pacific Cod and Salmon, this is a perfect trip to get a taste of what Alaska has to offer! 
This is a private trip and will just be you and your group on the boat

Evening Cod/Salmon Private trip

May and early June is considered the shoulder season for tourist in Alaska but the fishing is still great and the crowds of people are less. Make it a combo trip for $300 more and we'll target another species  salmon, rockfish, or cod

Spring discount Halibut charter

Come see what Alaska has to offer on this morning fishing trip.We will spend the morning  trolling for salmon and jigging for pacific Cod. Possible wildlife sighting Include sea Otters, sea Lions and a variety of different whales. At the end of our trip your catch will be fillet and ready to be packaged by the processor of your choice.

6 hr morning Salmon/Cod trip

Come see what Alaska has to offer.
We'll  spend the morning  trolling for salmon and jigging for pacific Cod. 
Around noon  we'll stop by historic Seldovia, where you can grab lunch, Ice cream and explore the historic board walk. We'll Depart Seldovia at 2:30 and be back in Homer around 3
Possible wildlife sighting Include sea Otters, sea Lions and a variety of different whales. At the end of our trip your catch will be fillet and ready to be packaged by the processor of your choice.

Salmon/Cod and Seldovia tour

Come see what Alaska has to offer on this afternoon fishing trip.We will spend the afternoon trolling for salmon and jigging for pacific Cod. Possible wildlife sighting Include sea Otters, sea Lions and a variety of different whales. At the end of our trip your catch will be fillet and ready to be packaged by the processor of your choice.

6 hr Afternoon Salmon/Cod trip

8 Hour Private Halibut trip

This is an action packed trip and the goal of the day is  put you and your group on as many fish as possible! Your captain will take you to a variety of different fishing spots to target different species throughout the day. At the end of the day your catch will be fillet and ready to be picked up by the processor of your choice.
This private charter is for up to 6 guest
