There's a fish with your name on it in Brigantine and Retriever Fishing Charters will help you catch it!

Local species include Tautog, Striped Bass, Flounder, Black Seabass, Weakfish, Bluefish, Sheepshead, Cod, Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Little Tunny, and more, depending on the time of year. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light tackle. Capt. Connor also offers fly fishing trips too!

Retriever Fishing Charters welcomes kids aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly! 

Capt. Connor welcomes you aboard a 20' Maritime bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. Capt. Connor will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. Don't forget to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

Duck hunting

Have you ever wanted to learn how to fly fish the salt of fly fish in general or are you an avid fly fisher? This is the trip for you. During this trip, we will discuss the basics of casting instruction, flies, different situations, and tactics for the salt water. If you are an avid fly fisher we will get to fishing right away! On this trip, we will primarily target Striped Bass casting along the sod banks and jetties!

4 Hour Trip – Fly Fishing

We will explore the bay for stripers and tog! This trip will be spilt roughly in half for 2 hours of striper fishing and 2 hours of tog fishing. We will be fishing in the bay for both species. All tackle and equipment will be provided.

4 Hour Striper and Tog (AM)

During this trip we will target sharks such as brown sharks, black tips, and sand tigers. This is a trip yourself and or kids will not forget!

4 hour Inshore Shark Fishing

Have you always wanted to get out on the ocean and try your luck on some larger flounder, sea bass, triggerfish, tog and much more? This is the perfect trip to get experience fishing the ocean! You will learn new tactics on how to fish deep water as well as the tactics it take to find structure and why fish hold in these areas. This is a perfect trip for kids as well to have an action packed trip with the opportunity at a fish of a lifetime!

4 hour Inshore Wreck

Looking for a more advanced trip or want to catch the full tide swing? The 6-hour trip is perfect for your crew. During the 6-hour trip, you will be able to fish an entire tide which will provide a penalty of fish-catching action! In this trip, we can focus the entire trip on one species or mix it up where we can target a desired species for half then switch it up and target a whole different species with different tactics upon request!

6 Hour Trip – Bay

August and September offer opportunity at amazing inshore fishing for albies, bonito, spanish mackerel, kingfish, and bluefish! During this trip we will troll for these species until we find them feeding on the surface in a biltzing frenzy where the drags will be screaming and you'll be smiling!

5 hour Inshore Trolling/Casting

Looking to get the most out of your day? The 8-hour trip offers the most you can get out of a day in the bay! During this trip, we will fish the incoming and outgoing of the tides and have the best chance at the phenomenal fishing the bay has to offer! Like the 6-hour trip, we can mix up target species during the trip upon request!

8 Hour Trip – Bay

During the fall when it gets cold our favorite fishery starts to heat up! If you're looking for a fun day out on the ocean chasing big Striped Bass we have the boat to help you achieve this goal. During our ocean Striped Bass trip, we will target them trolling but will preferably be looking for birds to cast and jig for fish which is much more enjoyable than trolling!
