Come join the Wild Coast Alaska crew for a full-day charter aboard the Berserker out of Homer, AK. Full-day charters are 8+ hours, beginning between 6 and 7 am from our slip in the Homer Small Boat Harbor.

All private full-day charters are tailored based on guests’ desires, weather conditions, tides, seasons, and what fishing techniques/ species are producing the best results at the time of your trip. Species we fish for include Halibut, Salmon, and Rockfish and may include Lingcod when in season (after July 1). It is common to put multiple species on the boat each day.

Private Ultimate Charters are the Premier  Alaska Fishing Experience! This is a long-range trip designed to target bigger fish and includes actively jigging for Lingcod, Yelloweye, and bigger Halibut. This trip is weather dependent and will be reduced in price to a Private Full Day Charter if the fishing grounds are not safe to reach.

In addition to the great fishing that Homer, AK has to offer, you will enjoy spectacular scenery and wildlife including eagles, otters, and whales. Families will appreciate the large heated cabin with a private on-board toilet.

For those interested in lodging options, let us know and we can help with accommodations. 

You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.

Wild Coast Alaska – Charter Fishing

This is a shared trip approximately 8 hours in duration. We will target everyone’s halibut limit and then based on what’s in season and what’s biting, we’ll continue fishing for other species if there is time left in the day. This can include, rockfish, salmon, and pacific cod. If you want to catch halibut and have a great day fishing, this is your trip.

This is a shared trip approximately 8 hours in duration. Based on the tides, we will target everyone’s halibut and rockfish limits. Of course, if there’s time left in the day we’ll continue fishing for other species. If you know you want to target halibut and rockfish, this is your trip.

Halibut Rockfish Combo

This is a shared trip approximately 8 hours in duration. Based on the tides, we will target everyone’s halibut limits. Our focus will then shift to salmon. King salmon are present in our waters all the time, so make sure you have a king salmon stamp. From mid-July through the rest of the season, more plentiful numbers of pink and silver salmon are also available. If you know you want to target halibut and salmon, this is your trip.

Halibut Salmon Combo

This trip is for those seeking a 2 species combo charter and don't mind sharing the boat with other groups. This will be a full-day trip with a focus on Rockfish for half the day and Salmon for the other half of the day.  Available only on Tuesday and Wednesday when halibut fishing is closed.

Salmon Rockfish Combo

This is a private charter for up to 6 fishermen for up to 10 hours on the water. We typically always target halibut (halibut is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday for 2025) and will spend the rest of the day chasing whatever you want, including rockfish, salmon, and pacific cod. Of course, we will have the current intelligence on what is working to help you make decisions. Since the trip is private it’s your call! This trip is great for families or groups who don’t want to fish with others.
