Your Fishing Charter

Ocean Isle Beach has a fish with your name on it, so let J&J Inshore Charters help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Jacob is prepared to put you on fish.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Black Drum, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, and whatever else is biting. During the trip, you might be light tackle fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Trips with J&J Inshore Charters are kid-friendly, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites so that everyone stays happy and energized!

Your trip begins aboard a 20’ Sundance bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

You can’t go wrong when you bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

This trip is designed to introduce young kids to the fishing experience without exhausting them with a long day. This trip is about action! We will be trying to catch anything willing to bite a hook. Keeping kids engaged in the whole process of catching bait, playing in the live well, and educating them on the species of fish they are catching. 

This does not necessarily mean this is just for kids. If your family just doesn't have time for a longer trip we can make it happen in just 2 hours.
