Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Black Drum, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, and whatever else is biting. During the trip, you might be light tackle fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Trips with J&J Inshore Charters are kid-friendly, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites so that everyone stays happy and energized!

Your trip begins aboard a 20’ Sundance bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

You can’t go wrong when you bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
