Your Fishing Charter

Make some memories in Saco, ME and go fishing with Maine Offshore Adventures. With Captain Howard at the helm, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands. Do you have a large group? We can take up to 6 passengers out fishing!

These waters are known for Bluefin Tuna, Haddock, Cod, Pollock, Atlantic Mackerel, Striped Bass, Porbeagle Shark, and more – with any luck, it won’t take long to hook into some. On these trips, it’s common to troll, drift, jig, cast, and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, we have infant and youth life jackets on board. Customers are encouraged to bring food, beverages, and snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

Your boat for the day is a 30’ Sailfish Express sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has an Eisenglass-enclosed cabin for protection from wind, rain, and sun, and a private head. Rods, reels, bait, and tackle are covered by the charter. Frozen bait is on board and you’ll be catching live bait yourself.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

You should plan to wear boat shoes with non-marking soles and bring sunglasses, a hat, a light jacket, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some light snacks and drinks onboard. There is a large cooler onboard with plenty of ice to keep your food and beverages cold. Alcohol is not allowed.

You will be fishing in Saco Bay for Mackerel using Sabiki rigs. We will use live Mackerel to target Striper. You can keep the Mackerel and any legal Striper. You will also experience the Lobster Tour (except Sundays). Watch while the Captain hauls and baits lobster traps. Learn all about shorts, oversized, notched females, berried females, shedders and culls. Crew keeps all lobsters per Maine regulations. We can take up to 6 passengers.
