“Capt JB’s Charters” invites you on a fishing adventure launching out of Apalachicola, Florida! A day out with Captain John, a local to the area, gives you the opportunity to get a taste the areas peace and quiet, as well as some epic fishing!

Hop aboard his spacious 25’ Epic center console, ideal for up to 6 anglers. She’s powered by a 250 HP Yamaha 4-stroke engine and is rigged with top-notch navigational electronics, including GPS and Fishfinder. There’s also a T-top cockpit for welcome shade, a live well, and a 10’ power pole shallow water anchoring system to keep you rooted.

Capt. John accommodates all of your inshore and nearshore fishing needs! He’ll have you going after the likes of Redfish, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Tripletail, and Pompano. What’s more, he offers specialized Shark trips, as well as nighttime Flounder gigging trips!

On board you’ll find equipment for a wide range of fishing techniques including bottom fishing, spinning, popping, drift fishing, trolling, and jigging. If you want to bring your own gear and tackle, feel free to do so! All you really need are any drinks and snacks you’d like to enjoy.

Enjoy a serene day on the waters just outside Apalachicola and go home with some seriously tasty fish aboard Capt JB’s Charters!

Whether you've got a few free hours in the morning or the afternoon, Capt. JB is happy to take you out on the water! Explore the inshore waters and bring your youngsters out for their first spin on the waters. 

Bay & Flats Fishing Charter

This trip will see you fishing the Bay for Redfish, Black Drum, Tripletail, and more. Capt. JB provides you with all the gear and tackle, as well as with the licenses. Pack any drinks and snacks you'd like to enjoy and you're good to go!

If afternoons are your active hours, opt for the PM trip! You'll explore the Bay for the likes of Redfish, Black Drum, Tripletail, and Trout. Capt. JB provides all the gear you need and is happy to clean and fillet your catch at the end of the trip. Pack any drinks and snacks you'd like to enjoy and you're good to go!

Head out for a unique night trip that will see you gigging for Flounder! It's best to target these flatfish long after the sun has gone down and Capt. JB provides all the gear you need to do so. Anglers of all skill levels are welcome, however it's recommended that children are over the age of 12.

These trips are very weather dependent and seem to do better during August - December 

Flounder Gigging 

Just a fun filled time cruising around the Barrier Islands in Apalachicola Bay looking at dolphin and stopping on several deserted beaches enjoying the day and finding some awesome sea shells.

Barrier Island Tours

Choose what your party would enjoy doing on the water. Once you book just send Capt. JB a message on what your party would enjoy doing. This would only be for Inshore only and River, does not include Offshore fishing trips.

Custom Trips By You

Enjoy a full day on the water doing whatever your hearts desire. You can fish some or all day and if you choose to do some fishing and touring around the barrier islands or the Apalachicola River. A eventful fun day on the waters with Capt. JB

Bay / Flats / Shelling Your Choice

Take off on this slightly longer trip and go into deeper waters to target delicious bottom fish! You'll go after the likes of Snapper, Grouper, and Seabass with gear provided by Capt. JB. If you're looking for more action– this is the trip for you!
