In The Zone Fishing Charters takes you fishing around Galveston jetties and all the way up to the 100 mile mark to put you on the fish of a lifetime. Whether you’re on vacation with your family and want to chase Hammerhead Sharks or are bent on reeling in a Wahoo, the crew will make sure you get a bang for your buck.

Year-round, Captain Derrick takes numerous anglers on fishing trips that are rewarding, filled with fish, and enjoyable. Capt. Derrick has been fishing since he was 8 and has fished out of Galveston for the past decade. He has been a full time guide for the last five years and has put scores of fishing enthusiasts on fish.

Derrick will welcome you aboard his 26 foot center console. She is powered by twin 200 HP suzuki’s engines and is a reliable vessel to take you out . The boat features GPS, a fishfinder, VHF radio, stores all the safety gear, has an ice box, a live bait well, and a selection of fishing gear by Ugly Sticks and Penn. The boat can take up to six people.

Fishing trips with Capt. Derrick will see you fishing the jetty waters where you can sample tablefare and go home with Redfish, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Flounder, or Sheepshead. But that’s not all. Head nearshore and target Cobia, King Mackerel, Snapper, or Sharks, or take a trip 50 miles offshore to battle with Mahi, Wahoo, and Tuna. It’s your call.

When packing for the trip, remember to bring a valid saltwater fishing license. Please note that some trips don’t include fuel costs and that you will need to cover those. The captain will supply all the fishing gear, bait, tackle, and lures. You should bring food, drinks, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a camera.

If you're fishing with kids or are a beginner angler, this package will work for you. The fishing gear is supplied onboard but you need to bring a valid saltwater fishing license. Also bring food, snacks, drinks, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a camera. Please check with the captain if there is an extra fuel surcharge for offshore trips.

Half Day Trip–Jetty

4 hour trip inshore

You will have more time to explore the honey holes and search for 
 Redfish, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Trout, and other species that live here. These trips can also work for anglers with little experience who're eager to spend more time on the water. The fishing gear is provided onboard, along with bait. You need to purchase a valid saltwater fishing license. Bring food, snacks, drinks, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a camera.

3/4 Day Trip–Jetty (AM)

If you want to have a nice afternoon with your friends and family, this six hour trip will give you enough time to look around jetties and fish for
Redfish, Sheepshead, Black Drum, and Trout. You will find all the fishing gear onboard, but you must bring a valid Texas saltwater fishing license. Pack food, drinks, sunblock, a cap, sunglasses, and a camera. Please check with the captain if there is an extra fuel surcharge for offshore trips.

3/4 Day Trip–Jetty

6 hour trip inshore

Come chase Sharks. You will have enough time to stay nearshore and look for Hammerheads, Blacktips, Bull Sharks, and more. All the gear is waiting for you onboard, but you need to buy a valid saltwater fishing license and bring it along. Pack food, drinks, sunglasses, and a camera. It's a good choice for anglers with less experience too. Please check with the captain if there is an extra fuel surcharge for offshore trips.

3/4 Day Trip–Shark

You will have an entire day to explore the Galveston jetty hot spots and fish for Redfish, Trout, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and many more species. Rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided onboard. Please remember to pack food, drinks, a hat, sunglasses, and a camera. Come onboard and have a blast! Please check with the captain if there is an extra fuel surcharge for offshore trips.

Full Day Trip–Jetty

Spend the morning fishing for a variety of species, including Redfish, Cobia, Mackerel, Trout, Black Drum, and more. These trips are suitable for less experienced anglers and will have you fishing several miles from the shore. All the gear is provided, but you need to bring a valid saltwater fishing license. Make sure to pack sunscreen, a camera, sunglasses, food, and drinks. Please check with the captain if there is an extra fuel surcharge for offshore trips.

3/4 Day Trip–Nearshore (AM)

On this afternoon trip you will be fishing for numerous species, including Redfish, Cobia, Mackerel, Trout, Black Drum, and more. These trips are suitable for less experienced anglers too. All the gear is provided, but you must bring a valid saltwater fishing license. Make sure to pack sunscreen, a camera, sunglasses, food, and drinks.
