In The Zone Fishing Charters takes you fishing around Galveston jetties and all the way up to the 100 mile mark to put you on the fish of a lifetime. Whether you're on vacation with your family and want to chase Hammerhead Sharks or are bent on reeling in a Wahoo, the crew will make sure you get a bang for your buck.

Year-round, Captain Derrick takes numerous anglers on fishing trips that are rewarding, filled with fish, and enjoyable. Capt. Derrick has been fishing since he was 8 and has fished out of Galveston for the past decade. He has been a full time guide for the last five years and has put scores of fishing enthusiasts on fish.

Derrick will welcome you aboard his 26 foot center console. She is powered by twin 200 HP suzuki's engines and is a reliable vessel to take you out . The boat features GPS, a fishfinder, VHF radio, stores all the safety gear, has an ice box, a live bait well, and a selection of fishing gear by Ugly Sticks and Penn. The boat can take up to six people.

Fishing trips with Capt. Derrick will see you fishing the jetty waters where you can sample tablefare and go home with Redfish, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Flounder, or Sheepshead. But that's not all. Head nearshore and target Cobia, King Mackerel, Snapper, or Sharks, or take a trip 50 miles offshore to battle with Mahi, Wahoo, and Tuna. It's your call.

When packing for the trip, remember to bring a valid saltwater fishing license. Please note that some trips don't include fuel costs and that you will need to cover those. The captain will supply all the fishing gear, bait, tackle, and lures. You should bring food, drinks, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a camera.

Invite your friends and come have a blast on the water!

Capt Chop Is The Truth
Full Day Trip–Jetty on April 6, 20263 adults

Windy day. Water and climate was still cold so fish were a bit dormant. Only one other boat was seen out. Our trip was reserved months in advance as we flew in to Texas from Maryland so conditions or no conditions.....we're fishin! Capt Chop knew the spots! Spots that required much manuever to stay on top of. Caught multiple Reds, Drums, a couple of shovel heads and had a Cobia on the line that got away at the surface. We'll be back for that Cobia!

Best Day Ever
6 hour shark trip on October 11, 20255 adults

Had the best day ever…Took my Dad, Little Brother, Son in Law, and my son. To see the crew make us feel at home and made the experience a time that we will never forget…We laughed and joked the whole trip…Couldn’t have asked for a better Captain and Deck hand. There is no doubt we will be using In the Zone Fishing for all future trips…If you want to have a great day on the sea…then look no further….Thank you In the Zone for an excellent experience shared by all.

Cold but well worth it
3/4 Day Trip–Jetty on March 17, 20264 adults

Temperature was in the lower 40s and fishing was a little tough, however, Capt Green grinded it out and found the fish for us and we all had an opportunity to put multiple big fish on the boat. 5⭐️
