Come fish with Big Bite Charters and create lovely memories on the water! Captain Demar Hagger will meet you in Newport, Oregon and take you to the area’s bountiful fishing grounds both near and far off the shore. Captain Demar is a lifelong angler with a great desire to provide others with fun and productive fishing adventures. Join him aboard and have a wonderful time fishing in Oregon!

Your vessel for the day will be a 30’ TJ Boats aluminum fishing boat that accommodates up to 6 guests. It runs on twin 175 HP Suzuki engines, uses full-featured navigation electronics, and has got a portable toilet you can use. It’s equipped with livewell and downriggers and features a multimedia system, a wireless trolling motor, and an ice-box. In case you need any help while on board, just ask the first mate and he’ll be happy to assist you.

Using light and heavy tackle, you and the crew will be chasing Black Seabass, Salmon, Halibut, and Lingcod. The techniques you can use to attract them include bottom fishing, deep sea fishing, trolling, and jigging. Remember that you can bring kids on your trip, keep the fish you catch, and that smoking is only allowed outside the boat’s cabin.

Captain Demar will have ready the fishing tackle, lures, as well as drinks by the time you arrive. Just bring some snacks and drinks before you start the trip and don’t forget fishing licenses.

Embark on an 8-hour adventure and fish for Halibut in 200 feet of water or less. This fish in the shallows is of nice quality but is tough to capture. You and the captain will depart at 7:00 a.m. and return at 3:00 p.m. The trip is a true Halibut hunt.

8 Hour Trip – Inshore Halibut

Come fish offshore grounds 25-35 miles off the Oregon coast. You and the captain will spend 8 fun hours in water as deep as 700 feet, where Halibut is usually pretty abundant. The trip runs from 6am to 2pm p.m. and includes the fishing equipment and drinks.
