Your Fishing Charter

Fish Trap Outfitters are here to show you the stunning waters of Truckee, including Donner lake, Stampede Reservoir as well as Bullards Bar in yuba county. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Connor can tell you all about the local fishery. 

Brown Trout, Kokanee Salmon, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, and more are in the cards, depending on the time of year. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll using light tackle. 

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that everyone stays happy and energized! 

Your fishing machine for the day is a 26' Olympic pilothouse that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures.

You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.
