Your Fishing Charter

Capt. Austin's Fishing Adventures is a multi-boat charter operation that runs out of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. It was formally known as Capt. Brant's Fishing Adventures that used to operate for over twenty years. Captain Austin Aycock is a skilled friendly angler who knows how to show you a great time on the water. Join in and have a pleasant fishing experience as you discover the area’s offshore waters.

You will start your trip on a 33’ World Cat catamaran that can carry up to 6 guests. Its engine is a 300 HP Yamaha that can reach a maximum cruising speed of 30 knots. For navigation, it uses the latest Simrad GPS and fishfinder technology as well as a radio. The boat has got a private toilet and its onboard fishing gear includes outriggers, downriggers, and a livewell. A first mate will also be joining your trip.

You can target Snapper, Grouper, Barracuda, Wahoo, Kingfish, Black Seabass, Mahi Mahi, and more. You’ll catch them on light and heavy tackle by bottom and deep sea fishing, trolling, jigging, and even kite fishing. You can keep all the fish you catch if you want to and you can bring kids on your trip.

You will only need to bring some snacks and drinks as Captain Austin will take care of everything else. He covers all the tackle, lures, live bait when possible, catch cleaning, as well as fishing license.

If the ocean is not for you, this is a great alternative. Come join us for a short trip on the water! Fishing in the Intracoastal waterway and other rivers/creeks that feed into it. This is a great trip for the whole family!

4 Hour inshore

This is a great trip for anyone that wants to have some good action but also doesn’t want to spend all day out on the ocean. Join us doing some nearshore trolling for spanish mackerel and bluefish. Then if you want to try to catch some bigger critters we can target barracudas or sharks on this trip as well!

4 Hour Nearshore

Come join us on a great shark fishing adventure in the cape fear river. The best part about this trip is you don’t have to have to worry about wind or waves since you’ll be fishing in the sheltered waters of the Cape Fear River. You’ll also enjoy the sights and wildlife that coastal North Carolina has to offer on your ride to and from the fishing grounds.

6 Hour Cape Fear Shark Fishing Trip

This trip will typically range out to 25 miles offshore. Total fishing time is roughly 4 and a half hours. This trip typically utilizes live bait, slow trolling to target top-water trophy game fish. Targeted species: King Mackerel, Barracuda, Shark, and Cobia.

6 Hour Trip – Offshore

This trip typically ranges out to 35 miles offshore. The total fishing time is roughly 5 ½ hours, not much more than the 3/4 day offshore trip, but you will be fishing grounds that are much more productive. The trip usually includes an option of live bait and slow trolling to target top-water trophy game fish or bottom fishing to target great-eating bottomfish. The species you will target include King Mackerel, Barracuda, Cobia, Amberjack, Snapper, Grouper, and Sea Bass.

3/4 Day Trip – Offshore

A 10-hour trip will see you travel 50 miles offshore. The total fishing time is roughly 7 hours. You will be fishing the most productive grounds the area has to offer. This trip typically includes live bait and slow trolling to target topwater trophy game fish with an option to chase great-eating bottomfish as well. If you are interested in Grouper or Snapper fishing, this is the trip for you. You will target Grouper, Snapper, Kingfish, Barracuda, Cobia, as well as Seabass.

10 Hour Trip – Bottom Fishing

This trip will take you to the edge of the Gulfstream and continental shelf, over 60 miles offshore where you will likely encounter some of the biggest, strongest and best-eating game fish in the ocean. Total fishing time will be about 9 hours. This trip includes topwater trolling for trophy gamefish and is for the serious fisherman as the ride out will take 2-3 hours. The species you will chase include Tuna, Mahi, Wahoo, Sailfish, Marlin, Grouper, and Snapper.

12 Hour Trip – Trolling

This is truly a one of a kind trip that cannot be done with any other fishing adventure in the world. It is two days of fishing with a one night stay on the world famous frying pan tower. This includes a day of bottom fishing for grouper, snapper, triggerfish and seabass. A night stay on the tower with dinner included, and a full day of offshore gulfstream trolling for tuna, wahoo and mahi mahi. We can accomodate up to five people on this trip. Its a one of a kind adventure.
