LA Sportfishing is based in the beautiful Marina del Rey, California. Their convenient location gives you great access to LAX, Santa Monica, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills. Whether you want to just test the local waters or head out to the islands, you have found the right place. 

To begin your adventure, step aboard the “Marsea,” a 32’ SeaSport Pacific catamaran. Built with comfort in mind, the beauty is maintained in great condition and performs well in the unpredictable Pacific Ocean. Twin 270 HP Volvo engines will power you to the hottest spots in the area. It can accommodate up to 6 anglers and is rigged with modern navigational electronics and other professional features. 

The Marsea features an upper deck with comfortable seating, where you can take in the beauty of the surrounding waters from up high. Imagine spotting schools of fish, whales, and dolphins while sipping your favorite drink? This boat has everything you need for a comfortable day out. 

California fishing charters are a great way to have fun with your friends and family. The crew has tailored a variety of packages to choose from. Check the local waters for Rockfish, Calico Bass, Sand Bass, California Yellowtail, Lingcod, Barracuda, Bonito, California Halibut, and even LOBSTER. Or head out to Catalina or Santa Barbara Island to add larger fish to the list (see our LA Sportfishing - Offshore trips). 

During your day out, you will fully appreciate the quality gear and tackle which will be provided for you. We use only top-of-the-line gear. A valid California Fishing License is required for all fishing trips.

Half Day Trip (PM)

We'll depart the marina around an hour before sunset in search of delicious California Spiny Lobster.  We'll be using hoop nets and setting our nets at various depths depending on where the lobsters are located.  This trip is limited to 6 anglers but we HIGHLY recommend 4 people or less for a more comfortable trip.  All anglers will need a fishing license AND lobster report cards.  We'll assist you every step of the way.  Don't miss an opportunity to catch one of the gems of our local waters!!

Lobster Hooping Trip

Fish locally for Rockfish, Sand Bass, Calico Bass, Bonito, Barracuda, and who knows what else. On 3/4 day trips, we can fish the local fishing spots, Malibu or the Palos Verde Peninsula area.
