Looking to cast a line in Seattle? Look no further than Seattle Nautic Salmon Charter! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Thao can tell you all about them. 

These waters are known for Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Chum Salmon, Lingcod, Flounder, and more – with any luck, you'll find out for yourself!

For these species, you'll be using light tackle. Capt. Thao also offers fly fishing, gear is available upon request. 

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children 15 years and under must wear life vests, appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks! 

Capt. Thao runs a 21” Center console with space for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water.

You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is available when we fish for ling cod.

You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. One day fishing licenses can also be issued on the boat for $13 a person.

A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray).  We provide bottle water, if you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Lingcod in Puget Sound is an awesome fishery.  The season is from May 1 - June 15.  We specialize in running live baits to ensure a success day of limits for everyone on the boat.  Everyone will have a rod in their hands to feel the bite and bring in their catch.  The legal slot limit for retention is 26' - 36'.  It's one fish per person.  

In our humble opinion it makes the best fish in chips or table fare that the ocean has to offer.

Lingcod Morning Trip

Catch resident Blackmouth King Salmon with light tackle and herring technique called “mooching”.  The method is interactive and hands on for every angler in the boat whether you are a novice or seasoned angler. We prefer this highly effective technique over trolling. Season is open in April from Wednesday to Saturday for king salmon.
